Hey i have the same problem and i wanted to buy the drone only to fix it but after seeing this video i will take 1 more look at the drone to see if i can fix it. It happened after a crash and after the crash it just wouldn’t send me video anymore…

Hey did you fixed this issue? Unfortunatly I have the same problem only mine goes black after landing. Then I have to unplug the battry,afther that's is Ok. If its a camera,could I replaced for different one. Mayby stronger.

There are a few possibilities... for me it was the DVR board. Others, it could be a co-ax cable, or vtx. The "Grey Screen with OSD" is usually the on-board dvr. Caddx is aware of the issue and you just have to write to them on FB Messenger. Be kind, they will help you.

I just unboxed my 2nd tinygo whoop 4k after returning the first for the same issue. This brand new one also has the same issue. I noticed on this one that the screen went black only after placing the batteries in the harness - when they were plugged in but not in the harness the video came through.

Similar problem, but intermittent. Thought it was possibly a low light problem, but that doesn’t appear to be your case. Maybe not mine either. (Hard to sus-out when it’s intermittent.)

Mine would go out sometimes and would work again after unplugging and plugging back in the batteries but eventually just stopped working all together. After further inspection I found the dvr board was either not receiving power or losing power somewhere.

where did u get the blue canopy? I bought one but the holes for canopy are in the complete wrong spot. can't mount boarding canopy because holes are missplaced (from Banggoood)

Same thing happened to me. I have to 4k version. I replaced the stock antenna with a lollipop antenna and I got video back. I'm guessing something either shorted out inside the antenna or something physically got damaged. Anyways. A foxxer lollipop antenna is only like 8 bucks on Amazon. You could try that first and if it's not the case at least you have a omni directional now :). Hope this helps.

Hey, I was wondering why am i getting soo bad range on my geprc tinygo GR8 controller.? I cant get further than 10 meters or i will failsafe. Can you help?

It’s hard to say, but it could be one or both antenna are damaged or disconnected from the receiver. That’s the first thing I would check

@@719FPV They seem fine… For some reason after i replaced the new caddx vista fpc camera in it i went outside to try it out and i couldnt even go 7 meters without having that delay with the rc you know? Its pretty bad cause i cant fly it with that delay but delay means its really close to failsafe

After a hard crash my video fades(not black, a white and black static) if the goggles aren’t right next to the drone. Where should I start? No parts look damaged. If I broke the connection to my antenna would it do that? Also it a ufl connector?

@@jacobfox3947 yeah sounds like the antenna is not connected or the antenna itself is bad. I’ve found that Elmer’s rubber cement works well to keep the antenna connected.

It ended up being the dvr board that needed replacing. If you’re ok with 1080 video, the caddx baby turtle is a good replacement at half the price of the loris

1st test tinygo. same issue after crashes. looks like all parts very fragile

I have had pretty good luck with durability so far with mine as I have crashed hard more times than I can count but I didn’t get the black screen following a crash. I had a pretty uneventful warm up flight and when I plugged in for the next flight I no longer had video. I was really hoping I would find an obvious reason for losing video when troubleshooting.

I have the same problem. I did all the steps as you. Clean, reassemble. No video. My ufl popped off after crash. I did get the up graded loliypop4 and still no video.. could this be the fc.. any input with your repair would be helpful. Thank you.. Great information in your video.

It’s likely that the recording board is the issue and needs to be replaced

@@jeremyhubaker1299 the caddx loris board seems to sell out pretty quick but I actually just found and bought one off AliExpress just yesterday. If you’re willing to give up the 4K recording for 1080, you can get the caddx baby turtle for cheaper and I believe they are currently in stock at getfpv

@@719FPV yeah I saw to on that site one is for 10.62 dollars and 1 for 47 dollars. The 10 dollar kit come with the cam cable and borad. And the other is 47 just for the board. So I assume the 47 dollar bord is th 4k and the other is 1080p. Is that correct?

I purchased replacement parts for my TinyGo directly from the GepRc website. Are you having the same issue with no video but still getting the on screen display in the goggles?

@@719FPV Yes was having the same problem you had the feed will go in and out some times.

@@devon582 if you are still getting the on screen information when the screen goes black in the goggles your vtx is still good and it’s likely an issue with the camera. Parts I ordered should be arriving any day now and I’ll get a part 2 video uploaded with what fixes my issue.

My vtx went out shortly after receiving the drone and I ordered one from RDQ (Race Day Quads) and got fast delivery. Fixed the problem fast.

omg, i have the same exact issue black screen + osd working, after taking apart (2 days ago) and a bit of cleaning I suspect it is the DVR part (with the sd slot) , the metal part was hot after testing with batteries in. I'm thinking of ordering the DVR part + the cable (to be sure) and maybe adding another 2 batteries

@@719FPV I can’t tell if it’s binding properly or how the toggle switches should be set. I own a DJI but this thing is completely different.

@@Drewzhouse sorry for the late reply, it is quite different than the straight forward dji drones out there. I’ll try to go through the binding process. Start with both the tinygo and controller powered off. Take the controller, with all the switches in the down position, find the “bind” button on the back and press and hold that while turning on the controller and the led should start flashing to indicate it is in bind mode. Now for the tricky part. Find the receiver on the tinygo, (small chip with the 2 antenna) and on that there is a very small button. You will need to press and hold that tiny button and power on the tinygo at the same time and that will put it in bind mode and the led on the receiver will start flashing. If done properly the tinygo will bind to the controller and the leds on the receiver and the controller will turn solid indicating they are bound.

@@Drewzhouse no problem, to take off you will “arm” the tinygo by flipping the left most switch to the up position. If the motors don’t start spinning, make sure the throttle stick is all the way down then try the arm switch again.
