Yes, me too. Good luck to their next journey. Teams that impressed me so much this 2024 VNL because of their high progress were: Slovenia, Canada and Germany. Much improvement and development with their performances.

IMO he's best german outside hitter, I dunno why but many people think Schott is better or Moritz Reichert which I do think is definitely as good as Karlitzek, if not I'd say more consistent, but Karlitzek has those insane clutch moments. Meanwhile with Reichert sometimes I just know when we have an B or C-Pass that he will 100% hit hard into the block and give ez point to the enemy. Karlitzek plays more like a Beach player would play in a super hard hustle rally. Has to play Opposite tho since we have no good replacement for Grozer I think we found our Roster and Winiarski knows how he wants to play it and switch his players around to achieve maximum efficiency, we just have to keep everyone healthy for Olympia and we can do big things there. This VNL didn't mean much, wish we could have a few more matches in the knockout stage to get more practice under pressure, but it's always hard to balance trying to fight for the win without injuring people.

I think nobody doubts Karlitzeks offense abilities, but as an outside hitter, you also have to be good on defense, and there Reichert is definetely better. Karlitzek is also great as an opposite, just not the emotional leader that Grozer is.

@@julrenharl I don't know if he is maybe injured or not, but I also think that Karlitzek already does a better job than Linus. In terms of Team atmosphere having a trustworthy Opposite is just as important as the Setter IMO. Your Outsides are allowed to relax and know even if they can't get past the block you are there to do the dirty work, when someone is feeling unstable in reception, you are there to tell them I make the point even with a C-pass, it's okay to receive the ball away from the net, so they don't stress out in reception trying to get perfect pass everytime. Don't get me wrong, I love Linus and wish him all the best, it just shows so much in his play how nervous he is in some rallys. You can't set him the ball in crunch time or when your outside got blocked 3 times in a row and you try to recycle the covered ball, he will always hit cross into the middle of the block or when trying to go around the block hit line and miss out or go even harder cross and miss that side. It's really sad to see. With his height and athleticism he just needs someone to tell him to keep hitting that ball onto the fingers or just slightly away from the block, not METERS away from the block. I see it as, he sees his failures in getting blocked and tries to overcompensate so he doesn't get block hands on the ball at all, in reality it's a matter of centimeters and he needs to find that sweet spot like Grozer. He is simply scared of his own mistakes, he should learn to accept them for what they are and see that he isn't missing much
