BRO THE ITALIAN SETTER IS LIKE OIKAWA OR SOMETHING. He just controls the court so well and he's so aggressive and smart 6:40 notice the fakeout it totally tripped up Germany's middle.

Giannelli is one of the best setters in the world, for me he is The best setter in the world. I've seen him win the scudetto at 18 against Modena playing the last 2 matches of the serie in 2015. For me it's a surprise when he plays bad, not when he plays good.

Looking at the lineups in comparison to the olympic qualifiers last year: Italy almost played the same squad, just changing Russo in for Sanguinetti in the middle. But Germany is completely different starting with a B team. Some of the top players aren't even in the lineup.

​@@travisbrown9936 Italy didnt play with their main mid blockers in OQT. Anzani was in recovery and Ruso was injured. Mosca and Sanguinetti were great but still couldnt fill the missing mid blockers' roles. Also, remember that Italy beat Germany in CEV 2021, even they played with Grozer at that time. This is a game! If Germany beat Italy in thr last game, the next one could be different. Italy could probably beat Germany. Even both teams play with their starting players. No one knows!

While some other reports say the new coach & Zaytsev had disagreements and he left the team. I don't know exactly what happened but I do know that his abilities have decreased. I mean he is getting older. Last time I saw him play, he was used as an outside hitter 🤦🤦.

not sure who edits these highlights but very poor job, I advise you to watch the Turkey-Italy highlights (women) to see how bad and biased they are, Italy won 3-0 but you would think it was the other way around coz most of the points shown were Turkey's... it iz uat it iz and fortunatley scores speak louder than these unprofessional highlights

Quanta confusione !! Zaytsev realizzo' 4 aces di fila nella semifinale olimpica di Rio 2016 contro gli USA : dal 22-24 al 26-24 per noi e finale raggiunta.

Italia USA a Rio de Janeiro risultato 3 a 2. Zaytzev fece 3 ace che portarono l'Italia in parità nel quarto set, ma non furono alla fine del set. L'episodio dei 4 ace ricordato in un'altra chat si riferisce alla World League del 2014. Finì 3 a 0 e Ivan ribaltò il terzo set da 22 a 24. Ero presente e comunque c'è un filmato su KZbin.

@@alessandro6821 memoria fallace , soprattutto quando si digita in fretta. Ho dato anche il punto del 22-22 allo zar, quando invece fu merito del muro azzurro. Ivan fece 3 aces consecutivi che portarono la nazionale dal 22-22 al 25-22 e al tie break che a quel punto sarebbe stato virtualmente della squadra di Blengini, come in effetti poi fu. Ovviamente nn contesto quelli della World League, negli occhi di molti di noi rimane ancora quella stratosferica performance di Rio .
