So totally off topic from the video, I found myself saying your intro with you which inspired me to do a montage ... project for tonight;)

From a certain point of view, we are all Dave. And we all like knives. And today, we are all here to talk about something.

Great overview Dave. Some of those issues could be fixed with a dremel and some sharpie, if you don't mind trading asthetic for function.

I’ve done that for tools I care more about, but I should have mentioned the possibility.

I haven't had much luck when it comes to Gerber multi-tools, other than Leatherman , I prefer SOG multi-tool. Great review 👍

What SOG do you like?
@joesmulti-edc8903 жыл бұрын
@@DaveLikesKnives I carry the SOG reactor as an EDC ( for work ). I know it's been pooped on in many reviews, but for daily tasks it's perfect for me. As far as hiking and medium tasks I use the Leatherman signal.

I’ve pooped on it myself, but I did really enjoy your video on it. I appreciate your perspective and I’m glad it works for you.

It pisses me off so much how Gerber's design team FAILS at testing their products. The knife issue, the length of the handles... it's like they just think of things to make, half ass design & test them, and then make them look as pretty as possible (which they do a fantastic job at). I'm still in f-ing awe at how the idea of the "stake-out" made it into production! I also can't believe how they didn't think or decide to include LOCKING drivers on the Armbar Drive, which I think was and is a great idea but just badly executed.

That is my entire opinion of gerber as a company. They’ve got some undeniably solid products, but it’s mostly this. Stuff that has such a good idea behind it that I’m sad this was the end result.
