Soldiers know that in emergency situations, you have to break down barriers without restraint. This takes a tool that won't bend, break or take no for an answer. More Info: www.gerbergear.com/Military/Ge...

I don't understand why anyone thinks this is overpriced. This thing LITERALLY saved my life in Afghanistan. Worth every single bleeding penny.

I went from browsing $40 full tang tomahawks to hours later landing on this, and damn it's beautiful, and more importantly much more practical than a lot of other tomahawk features. But wow are they being cocky with that pricetag.

Gerber. How was this hawk made? In a forge or cut out a metal sheet in a top dollar factory? Kind of like how old vehicle parts where mafe bavk in the day im guessing. All that open space in the hawk head is so different than any other ive seen.

this tomahawk is awsome. i think is the coolest thing i have seen. i respect the detail and engineering. however, the price will keep me from owning one. especially when i can buy a granfors bruk maul for $130. gerber is really on a roll, i have many of their knives, and i like their new gdc series

It's a breach tool. Not really for the everyday Joe. Unless you plan on breaking into someone's home. I think it's more aimed at the Police force, Army, Marines.
@percival236 жыл бұрын
By making this a pry bar they ruined the Axe. The balance of this axe is completely backwards. Just look at it. The axe head is super light and yet the widest part of the steel handle is at the bottom. On top of that look at how you are made to grip this axe. Any good work hammer and your pinky finger is just an inch of the bottom of than handle. With this axe your pinky is 5 inches away from the bottom. You will not get the normal top heavy centrifugal force when you swing this axe because too much weight is concentrated in the handle. But for the record, this all had to be done to make a combo axe & pry bar. And the build quality was excellent. For those who really need both this would be a great buy. But for me, the trade offs were far to great.

Has to be pretty cool , to encompass all those little elements that are attached to it. Lo e it too.
@trooper5157 Жыл бұрын
Love it, just have concerns about that giant opening in the axe head, for the handle, and how THIN they've left the metal on the head, top and bottom. I'd have serious concerns about swinging that 100%, with the head having such thin structure. Maybe v.2 will have more metal in the head and less of an opening. .
@megawolfr1986 Жыл бұрын
It's a combat breaching tool. Not a bushcraft tomahawk. It's made to Hammer windows, crowbar locks etc and clear some light twines/bush. If need be also to use against a meat sack. This would be a poor choice for setting up a camp and making fire.

@Anarki23x9 жыл бұрын
Ropes and twine? What about wood? I keel staring at that very thin area under the handle, that looks like a serious weak point. Beef up that ax head and make it actually usable as an ax.

I'm sure you could but it's more of a breaching tool cause it's very slim its for small chopping and hacking at a door or something blocking your way.. you would want a wide back and slim edge for a bushcraft type axe
