I've been looking for an affordable folder with a scandi grind, and here it is. A variety of scandi folders isn't easy to find. Tops, Real Steel, and Cold Steel have been the three I've been pricing, and low and behold Gerber finds its way into the mix. Just found a Mansfield for $8.98 on Chicago Knife Works. Amazing. Thank you for an honest review from a woodworker's perspective.

Fallkniven also has a small scandi folder. Expensive as hell though.

Today is 6-1-24 and I just saw this knife for the first time today; yours is the 2nd video review I’ve seen. I gotta have one, or two. I have a large pocket knife collection and I’m adding traditional slip joint knives to my collection. Thanks for the great review.

Soft screws and bad over spring in mine. Rolled edge and bad dent in the middle. They go on sale because of quality control.

@ofthedawn mine has held up well thus far. I would contact Gerber to see about a replacement. As a manufacturer, they have a vested interest in identifying manufacturing deficiencies.

@workbenchknifeandtool i did but they have a new system which is causing delays. They said to sharpen it down which is bull. they said they could send a replacement, but it's a wait.

@ofthedawn that is a disappointing response from Gerber. Poor customer service is a good way to lose customer confidence. Ask Taurus firearms.
