Gerber Multiplier Auto Deploy Sheath

The Mp600 series (I prefer the ones with remgrit saw) are absolutely, hands down, the best multi-plier ever. EVER. I love the sheath you made but I wouldn't want to wear such a thing as a full-on EDC item since these tools can rust when subjected to rain.

Definitely. If you plan on being in the rain a lot and don't want to hand dry your tools after, I would go with an enclosed casing. I do those too, but they obviously don't auto deploy the pliers.

I'm guessing international orders would end up higher than a typical locally-sourced off the shelf sheath lol. How much would either this one you showed or an enclosed sheath for that tool cost for someone in the UK?

@@techwg As long as the dimensions of your closed Gerber is the same as this, I'll use mine to mold the sheath. For the design in this video, the total is $65USD. For the fully enclosed design, $80. Prices include shipping to the UK.

Thats a cool idea! I like the auto-deploy feature. I actually have one of those and might get a sheath from you for it in the future. I would rather get one for my Leatherman first though, which we've already talked about. Keep up the great work man!

I have the MP600 and it is THE BEST, even over Leatherman. I almost broke my ST300 fixing a mountain bike, and it's supposed to be a heavy duty multitool?? I was able to complete the job with just the MP600. I always carry it with me everywhere and I never leave home without it!!

wow ive had this exact multitool for a few years now and i wish i would have had this sheath all along x.x ive went through 2 of gerbers nylon sheaths already. I would send in my light if you could make a sheath that would hold the mp600 tip down along with a surefire 6p bezel down *.* that would be awesome!

@@jamescarpenter1095 sorry brother, I had to discontinue them, even though they were my best selling item at the time. The issue is that Gerber's quality control for those tools is really poor, so when I form a sheath on my tool, it might not fit yours, much less deploy and collapse the pliers as advertised. And even if you send your tool for custom fitting, there is a good chance that the finish work on the internals is sloppy and I might not be able to get the kydex to manipulate the pliers. Turned into a huge headache and time pit for me. I might bring it back soon -- getting some new equipment in the skip and they're a small chance that I can find a way to make it work universally. If I do, I'll be listing them on my website store. Check in there anytime for real time inventory. In the meantime, there might be some other guys making these sheaths as well. Check first with Rodriguez Kydex. Great guy, great sheaths.

Great looking sheath! But I'm pretty sure that "Gerber" is a fake/counterfeit.

I sure hope not, I bought it from Gerber's website! Any telltale counterfeit signs we should be looking for?

@@BlackBearCustomKydex from what I've seen and heard there shouldn't be a Gerber logo next to the text "GERBER", the text of "GERBER" should be in a different font, there should be a "USA" stamp on it, and the word "MULTIPLIER" shouldn't be on there. I've also heard they're lighter than a real Gerber. I mean it's possible they changed up some of the text over time or maybe there's a difference between civilian and military. I just know mine looks different than the one in this video and I know with 100% certainty mine came from the US Army. Also there's some on amazon that look like this and people are screaming counterfeit in the reviews. I hope you have the real deal and I'm wrong.
