Gerhard Behles co-founded the music software company Ableton in 1999 with Robert Henke and Bernd Roggendorf. Behles is currently the CEO of Ableton, and he is keen to point out that this position is his “first real job.” “I also intend for it to be my last job,” he recently told an interviewer.
Benji Rogers is a Berklee Online instructor and an independent musician who has been making his own records since 1999. In 2009, Benji founded PledgeMusic, the leading international direct-to-fan platform offering artists a unique way to engage their fans in the music making process while interacting with a global audience of music super fans, resulting in chart topping albums worldwide. In 2013, Benji was recognized on Billboard’s 40 Under 40 Power Players list and in 2014 at the MUSEXPO International Music Awards, he won Digital Executive of the Year.

This gentleman is fascinating. What an amazing person at the helm of a revolutionary company. I converted to Ableton a few years ago. I was a accredited Pro Tools user. I have not once looked back. I have never felt so connected with a piece of software. In fact the prolificity of the time i spend creating sounds and music has expanded beyond what I ever thought it would. I have stemmed into synthesis and modulation methods that before Ableton I would not have thought were possible. Well done Gerhard. You hiring? Thnx Berklee Online.

bought a copy of Live 3 off ebay... even using audio clips , my cracked fl studio 4.5 became trashed... iv sense been a Live user. currently on 9.7

2023, stopped by for some throwback and insight into Ableton DNA. What a great discussion. Totally explains how Ableton perspective shaped why Live works like it does. Amazing a founder is still involved at this level too. The discussion at @11:15 is 💯 spot on and most important thing any artists needs to know for creating music and why Ableton is used. I’ve been using Ableton Live and other products since V8, and hope they never start designing features based on how to make money with music. Enable cool ways to create and we’ll figure out the rest. Bravo man 🙏😎🖤🐓

tremendous interview. I work with logic and abelton. its very fun and easy to work with live, but the only problem that i have is the sound engine...they should work on that. regardless its an amazing DAW. much love and support from Munich/germany
