Zoë Keating is a cellist and composer, but it’s probably more accurate to refer to her as a one-woman orchestra. She has been playing cello since the age of eight, and for more than a decade has been using technology to sample and layer her playing into intricate soundscapes for her three solo albums, and for her extensive soundtrack work. Her self-released albums have several times reached number one on the iTunes classical chart, and she has over one million followers on Twitter. Zoë has played and recorded with a wide range of artists, including Imogen Heap, Amanda Palmer, Tears for Fears, DJ Shadow, Dan Hicks, Thomas Dolby, John Vanderslice, Rasputina, Pomplamoose, and Paolo Nutini.
Benji Rogers is a Berklee Online instructor and an independent musician who has been making his own records since 1999. In 2009, Benji founded PledgeMusic, the leading international direct-to-fan platform offering artists a unique way to engage their fans in the music making process while interacting with a global audience of music super fans, resulting in chart topping albums worldwide. In 2013, Benji was recognized on Billboard’s 40 Under 40 Power Players list and in 2014 at the MUSEXPO International Music Awards, he won Digital Executive of the Year.

can a artist adapt the music to a song written with no music, or do they have the managers etc. decide whats a good lyric to tweak? and are there any lyric writers actually collaborating with the artists?
