I'm 38, Peter. I never met any of my grandparents except for my maternal grandmother. She was a very hard woman, and she wasn't good with children at all. :( But before she passed away in 1982, she told me she was very proud of me. I was 14. I'll never forget that.

hmm not sure where my posts went but thank you for this. I think being in the grandpa role is fitting.. I never knew my grandpas (on both sides) so i find ur words and stories comforting as I often wonder if they would have been a lot like you. Thank you for this and keep telling your stories, I never get tired of them.

Peter don't get too hung up on the length of your videos, I could listen to you all night. Since your only a decade older than my father I can't see you as a grandfather figure, having said that however in many ways you do remind me of my own Grandfather. I just wish we'd spent more time just talking. Take care, Health & Happiness, Seasons Greetings, Andy

You're a lot like my grandpas. (They both were in WWII. They both love to tell stories) I'm going to talk to them tomorrow and ask them a lot of questions I've been too nervous to ask them. (The main difference is one of my grandpas gets angry when he gets desktop icons he doesn't want. And you are very good with computers)

My grandparents on both sides let me speak to them, but I think it's still best for kids to remain seen and not heard..it wouldn't be a cliche if it wasn't true.Kid's these days don't care about the grandfolks unless they are getting presents so don't feel bad, the generation gap is as bad now as it was then.

actually, contarary to what you beleive, people such as yourself actually bridge the genrration gap, because of the fact you actually open up to us "young'ns" (me being 20 myself), unlike any other older person, you admit yourself that it was hard to get close to your grandparents, even though in this day and age it may seem its closer, but grandparents don't let themselves open up to their grandchildren about their past, and what it was like for them.
