For anyone who's thinking of doing reenactment pick a group like this that sleeps rough that cooks on a open fire that dosent order food that dosent take their kit off after the reenactment is over because it uncomfortable, you'll learn alot more doing this and will have many great memories. We'll done guys

That's how my US unit (36th ID) and my German unit (100th Jäger) roll. We camp and eat as authentically as possible and even enjoy eating at sit down restaurants afterwards

I'd imagine it would be pretty awkward until you get to know each other better. I mean imagine just showing up and camping with a group of 20+ strangers some who take it more seriously and some who take it less seriously. I would be scared to talk cause I could see me somehow ruining someones reenacting experience and them getting mad.

They say you have to be 16 to reenact in most units unless you are exceptional youth, which I understand but that one kid looks likes he's 6

Yeah that kid looks under the age of 10... Maybe as old as 12 but still definitely way under 16.

Great video! Love the Hanses and the Gustavs speaking American Joe English. However, the loud belch at 14:03 is universal. The WWII era music in the background was perfect. Were the beautiful train sounds for real? You can tell nurse lady is the real Commandant of the camp!
@Heinz_Thiel9 жыл бұрын
+Agent Fungus The trains line was only 700 Yards from camp and do run all night long through Lockport. Those are real train sounds in this video, just time shifted to go with the Guys sitting by the Campfire.
@agentfungus97429 жыл бұрын
Heinz Thiel : I sent an email to the nurse lady to learn more about this re-enactment group. Very nice visuals and sounds in this video. These guys have guts of steel to be able to drink coffee and eat those gray colored sausages so early in the morning.

I see German soldiers dancing through France. Played by boys in very tight pants. And wait, there's more. They win the war! And the dances they do will be daring and new!

Personally I enjoy tactical battles more than public. But my favorite public event is WWII weekend at Jefferson Barracks park in St.Louis County.. our FJ unit is awesomely correct and I've never gotten so many compliments on a display. And I do F&I war and Rev. war..

7:38 I paused the video at this point to read what is on the bulletin board, and one thing actually made me laugh at loud. I was trying to work out what the hell ''Bohrer'' was supposed to mean in this context, then I realised...they have put the word ''Drill'' into google translate but not really done it well, because Bohrer, or Bohrmaschine does mean drill, but in the sense of the thing for making holes, not what they mean. lmfao. The rest is more or less ok but there's an h and a c missing from Fruehstueck (sorry can't do Umlauts on this laptop)
