I find his books dry and uninteresting from a thematic and linguistic standpoint, I mean the man compares them to Marvel movies. Plus I've been to several of his panels and lectures at this point and think he might be a bit full of himself (e.g. Sanderson's Laws of Magic are bad writing advice IMO but he coined them as laws and doesn't respond to criticism). But hey, I've never published fiction before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
