That looks more like a château or palace than a castle 😮 Edit: oooh Schloss Thurn & Taxis! (Folk etymology has it that Taxi (as in cab) comes from that family: allegedly Franz von Taxis of House Thurn and Taxis - who was Postmaster for Philip of Burgundy in the 16th century - and Franz’s nephew Johann Baptiste von Taxis - who was General Postmaster for the Holy Roman Empire - instituted fast and reliable postal services (mainly for letters but some routes also transported people) across Europe, but that is wrong, ofc! 😂 The etymology actually derives from the taximeter used to calculate the fare.)

In around 1500 the Earl of Thurn and Taxis had a brilliant idea. They would organize a mailcoach service all over the vast area of the Holy Roman Empire. All the emperor had to do was to give them the privilege to do so. I do not know when they started to paint their waggons and coaches bright yellow but that colour for the postal service in German lands goes back to them, as well as that "postal horn" logo.

This type of pizza bread you will find nearly on every Christmas market. I never buy it, because it often looks like the dough is not backed through... I've never been to the Thurn and Taxis palace in Regensburg, though the illuminated facades and setting reminded me of Schwerin. My wife loved their version of Santa Claus dressed in a red cardinal suit talking to little children and handing out apples and oranges. OBTW, Germans are not known for their pizza.
