It's realistic, I think, because Austria-Hungary had weak army and Military Industrie since austro-german war in 1870-s. And Germany hab 2nd or 3rd army in Europe before WW1. There were no good variants for Austria-Hungary, if 2nd austro-german war had started in 20th century.

In 1914 Germany had 700.000 Aktiv soldiers an 10 million they could mobilised. Austria Hungary had 450.000 Aktiv soldiers and 4-7 million they could mobilised. Italy had 220.000 Aktiv soldiers and 5 million they could mobilised. But the German army was the most modern and had the 2 strongest navy at 1914 . In my opinion Germany would have won a war with Austria Hungary and Italy 1914

Yeah... the German military was significantly better trained, it was much more motorised and technologically advanced, as well as Italy and Austria-Hungary especially were suffering from many internal dissent issues. Manpower alone does not win wars.

@Forret the Mapper I mean, it’s a land war and Germany’s wasn’t really a joke either. There would be little to no naval battle in this conflict. Germany would likely cut off trade it reroute shipping to go around Africa rather than through the Mediterranean.
