Best imo is put some farm in the stable like mealwood or trees
@BierTier2 жыл бұрын
True dat, a farm is certainly a good idea. I just showed some examples of what is possible :)

Regarding vertical ranches: you can also build them 6×21 internal dimensions, with 6 internal floors (a one-tile gap each level to maintain room contiguity) spaced two tiles apart (with one 3-tile gap between levels to use for actual ranching operations). This still yields 96 tiles (6×21=126 tiles, subtract 6×5=30 for internal floors, leaves 96), and actually allows more storage density than the horizontal design since you can fit 26 bins into a ranch with this arrangement. On the other hand, this arrangement doesn't suit machinery more than 2 tiles tall, so no non-hamster generators, and you'll need to build the whole thing next to a ladder access shaft.

The sage hatches are pretty cool if you have lots of polluted dirt around since they eat they and give you coal from. I don't go out of my way to raise them, but not extremely mad when I get them either.

You mentioned that, you think Stone Hatches are only for the Smooth Hatch Eggs. Well, I use them for early to mid game food, all the time. Just feed them igneous rock, you will have plenty of that, and even can get it from volcanoes, if you want to. Barbeque is a really good morale boost, and its even gets you hunderds of tons of coal, so you don't have to worry about power for a while. Just set up a bunch of coal generators, cool them, and you are ready to go. The contraption itself is perfect btw, I use almost the same all the time. Keep up these kind of videos.

Instead of the two insulated tiles, just put another pneumatic door on top of the one, so that it is like an upside-down L.
@BierTier2 жыл бұрын
Is there any benefit to that over the insulated tiles? In theory it shouldn’t matter how exactly you remove those extra two tiles or am I missing something?
@R4d62 жыл бұрын
@@BierTier Mostly that it look better, you don't have the tile in the corner so it look neater, and the door doesn't restrict gas flow.

Ok, I figured It would be mainly aesthetics. I was literally trying to figure out if I missed something for a few minutes, haha 😂 Thank you though, appreciate it!
