Did you know that Jäger just means hunter in german? Jäger were sold into mercenary service by their rulers to accompany British troops during the American Revolution. They were used because they were good marksman

SamuraiRevolution and the "Landsknecht" just means country/land mercenary/servant (back in the ages the name was Lantknecht then Lanzknecht so it doesn't rly mean land, so we don't know where the Lands really comes from) so it was also just a old word for mercenaries/servant and Doppelsöldner means double-mercenary, they had this name because the were also just mercenaries, but mercenaries who served long and were always at the front and so they got double the amount of money, so actually Doppel-Söldner were the better and more elite fighters, idk if it is just boring or interesting for you if I tell about the german units, but I just thought you are a bit interested in it too, because it's actually even more funny to play the units if you know the origin and history behind them :D

You did nice on the FF, but you really miss-used both the jäger and black riders man! They are both long range troops, and you marched them right into town center range. If you would have kept the jägers from a good distance that first attack he would have been a goner! He didn’t have hussar then, there was nothing he could have done to counter... jägers take out the skirms and ryuther easily. Then all you had to do is march around his city taking out everything that walks while you sent pike to destroy buildings. Same thing happened when you sent black riders. Besides that it was an awesome game, thanks for the FF tutorial. You made me want to play the game again.

Another way to FF as Germans, especially if you're up against a player who you don't expect to rush: Send 3 Settler Wagons and mine the coin with 8 settler wagons instead of shipping 700 Coin. It takes around 20-30 seconds longer to reach Fortress Age, but you get a small eco boost, one which you would definitely need against Dutch. check my video for reference (shit, it's been 8 years): kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX2Xk4GonMebo6s

You should've put your barracks way closer to the enemy. I think that's what cost you the game. You ended up having to wait so long for the skirms to walk across 75% of the map, which gave him lots of time to prepare. What an epic second half, though.

Possibly. In general, you either rush quicker than them, turtle in, or do a really quick fast fortress. Otherwise, there is not much you can do.

SamuraiRevolution and 1 last thing as a little idea when you want to make a fast revolution video, then do it with Dutch, of course get 2 factories, all 4 TCs and get all 8 banks up with 1 market to trade the gold into food, get the shipment to produce faster units and the church upgrades to produce faster units so u can produce so many fckn units so fast, that the enemy thinks he is playing vs huge army of ants lol

Always make villagers, keep practicing, and if you loose ask your opponent what you did wrong or what you could of done better! Just find a strategy that I've posted and go with it. Find your style.

Hahaha! Understandable. I play in college, but it's more popular over here than people would think. Almost every young kid plays it growing up. However, our coaching and youth development systems are really bad. One reason being they cost so much, so many people stop playing :/

You're too fast! I'm so crap at this game, I really just want to find a way to beat my brother with the Germans. (On second thought, this strategy probably won't work against my brother because he uses a Cossack/Arty combo, and Skirms would be awful against Cossacks. Perhaps I could use Landsknecht and Uhlans.)
