Well done! That's some fantastic footage! I saw this exact same train at Utrect centraal when I was there in April. (Date of my video clip April 23rd) All by accident. I just remember all those people waving at me when I was waving at them, it was really nice :D

personally i think this is the best work you have done so far. the split screen worked perfectly for this type of vidio highlighting the beauty of the steam loco. at speed & also at the same time , the cab view that your channel is all about!!--WELL DONE , loved it . cheers from australia.

WOOOOW! Top notch split screen photography!!!!!!!! Everything looks like it just came out of the factory! Th class 23 was my 1st Marklin locomotive-- around 60 years ago. I was a 5 year old that beat the heck out of his toys, & the Marklin set was no exception. I replaced the class 23, along with the coaches at a cost probably 10 times more than what they cost in the early 60s. Thank you for a super video & memories of my childhood😀

Wow, I love these old beasts, steel dragons; there was one that went from Invercargill to Picton in the South Island of New Zealand and as a child I was so stunned by it when it dropped off some relatives when I was about 5-6 years old , Steam, steel dragons! Thank you so much! And then the train were just used for freight and Aircraft Took over first the good old DC3, then Fokker Friendships, Boeing 737's and then all sorts of aircraft. I'd love to see a really big steam Train again!

Heb er in de 50 er jaren vaak meegereisd, van Venlo naar Duisburg. Met extra locomotief om die heuvel bij Kaldenkerken te trotseren 😂 Als naast die locomotief staat, voel je de enorme warmte door je lijf , tot in je botten😂

Naar deze stoomlocs keek ik als 6 of 7 jarig jongetje altijd in mijn geboortestad(een wijk van die stad) naar het rangeren van de kolentreinen, ik vond dat toen zo spannend dat ik wel eens "vergat" om naar school te gaan, ik ben nu 76 maar deze treinen blijven mij altijd bij, gewoonweg prachtig, overigens de stad waar ik toen nog woonde was Valkenburg a/d Geul in z. Limburg.

"German giant"? Albeit impressive enough in its own right, the class 23 nonetheless was one of the smaller German passenger engines for sub-express regional and light express trains ...

De spanning is veel te laag om stroom te geleiden door de lucht.

BR 23 is not all that impressive size wise. Quite a few engines are larger/heavier (BR 01.10, BR 44, BR 42) and quite a few in the same weight bracket (BR 50, BR52). Neither was the engine all that important. The last 23 and the last of the enigines it was designed to replace (P8/BR 38) went out of service within weeks
