Vielen Dank für den Unterricht. My parents were German but I was born in Melbourne, Australia where I still live. Meine Eltern sind schon lange tot aber now I want to learn German again but don't have anyone to talk or listen to. Your videos are perfect for me and I am surprised by how much I can actually understand. Speaking is still a challenge though! I know that in German you can get the noun from a verb by capitalising its first letter (for exemple: essen --> das Essen). Following this rule can you say: Ich mag Schlafen (or Essen, Scwimmen, Tanzen, ecc.) or is it too strange to see? Moreover, when can you use the verb "gefallen"? Vielen Danke!

+Firishte this happens whenever you use a noun instead of a pronoun. Examples: Ich mag es, wenn du dich freust. - I like it when you are happy. (you CANNOT say: Ich mag es wenn dich du freust. that is wrong!) Ich mag es, wenn sich meine Schwester freut - I like it when my sister is happy. (CORRECT!) Ich mag es, wenn meine Schwester sich freut - see above (ALSO CORRECT!) Both versions are used frequently in spoken language.

Jenny i have question for you. I have noticed that in past people addressed each other in formal way with Ihr. Would it be weird if i say to a person Ihr instead Sie? Ihr is more natural for me since in Croatia we use Ihr if we want to talk in formal way

Not if you talk to an official person or a doctor, professional, sales person etc. that would not be appropriate. You can use ihr for your friends and family

Das war ein Interessantes Video. Vielen neuen Woerter. Du findest Museen langweilich aber du magst Technologie. Hmm... vielleicht gibt es Museen in deinem Stadt wo man kann Historie kennenlernen duerch Technologie? Ein Museum modern? (I bet I got lots of articles wrong... but I hope it's understandable. I meant a type of museum where one doesn't just look at the exhibits, but can get to know more about them using technology.). I've got an idea for a grammar video. Can you do one about prepositions like weil, dass, etc, which trigger the verb-last word order?)
