Hmm.. Maestro seems to have more detailed sound but my personal preference goes to Focal. It's more crisper to my ear

I have installed the focal ISU 200 in my Model Y, the brightness is so obvious on the high notes and the bass response is pretty good. Also I’m actually adding 3 coaxial Audison APX 4 in the dashboard with the amped garage bracket that I have enlarged. I was originally looking for Focal ICU 100, but as the dimensions were too big to fit in the dashboard I finally went for Audison as the sound color is close to Focal. Looking forward to see if the voices will be clear and well separate from the instruments. Finally i’m waiting for my Alpine S W8D4 to be delivered.

if you are installing on Model Y just be aware that the dash speaker of model Y got some kind of insulation foam that will make the speaker depth lower, most of the 4 inch speaker cannot fit in

@@hepaking4053 thanks for your sharing it is really kind :) !! I've managed yesterday to set the APX4 without any troubles (I knew that some people have installed Infinity 4032CFX, so when I saw that the Audison APX4 were not less deeper than the Infinity, I supposed that it would be a perfect fit. The mediums (voices and instruments) are now way better than with the OEM dash speakers. I'm still waiting for my alpine sub that I will mount on your bracket :).

I'm curious on why you didn't pick the audison ap8 over the focal ? Would have been same tone

@@Bigleftyinaz is the availability, the audison is less available and you need to have additional tweeter. Also, I have tested some Italian speakers and just find them very flat. Worst than the factory speaker

@@Bigleftyinaz It was a question of tweeter dimensions and also availability that makes me stay on the focal. At the beginning I wanted to have - Focal ISU 200 - Focal ICU 100 (but too much depth to fit in the dashboard) Then I thought about - AP 8 (but there was no brackets on the market for those one, woofer and tweeter - APX 4 And then I had a talk with the salesman who told me that the Audison AP series tries to replicate the Focal ISU series tone, so it was not a big deal if I choose the Focal ISU 200 with the Audison APX4 as the tones are similar. And finally for my sub I wanted to use a Focal one, but I did not manage to find an 8 inches dual 4 ohms. So I picked up the Alpine S W8D4 with the HEPA King bracket and connectors.

What are you using to amplify these speakers? This is most important but not clarified. Are you using the oem Model Y amp to power them?

Which line is that German Maestro speaker? Is it considered the lower or middle? I believe the M line is their top?

I think you know LH speaker as is one of your video. But from some of our customers who has listen to LH they would much prefer our Alpine setup. For the Orella we don't know much, but is always better to have extra amp

Thanks you . I am baffled little bit . You mentioned you prefer the sounds of the speaker in the upper right ,but your kit is for the lower right . Why ? Is it cost or you can't match the smaller speakers? I'm kind of torn . I do like the focal bass better, doesn't have that pop ,but I don't see any matching 3" speaker. That alone eliminates it

you always test speakers without tweeters. thats not a speaker comparison !!!!!!!!! absolute dislike.
