Not wanting bad immigration does not make your citizens racist. Any politician or bureaucrat who insinuates or calls the citizens "racist," needs to say who exactly they are talking about. Blanket terms like "racist," "xenophobe," "Islamaphobe," "far-right," etc. have long been used by the far-left to promote an ideology without a plan or clear policy.

What’s racist is a system that does not integrate properly people. That grants asylum but does not speed up the process of allowing the people to start working, leaving them with the only change to earn money to do it aside… What makes people racist is not understanding the situation the different people are in, and to judge those people by the color of their skin, religion, culture, etc… instead of their circumstances. Don’t forget that the people that knock on Germany’s door are fleeing from wars that are either caused by Germany or by Germany’s allies (with the support of Germany). Maybe if Germany stood up when a war in Irak starts, or in Syria, or in Afghanistan, these wouldn’t happen and we would not see the influx of people leaving the war region.

I never liked the usage of "far-right". In all the European countries, a pattern that I see, is that the "center right" "conservatives" are just controlled opposition. They're still just leftists but on a speed dial. The AfD isn't "far-right", the overton window has just normalized what is borderline socialism. The AfD is actually center right unlike the previously mentioned that just larp as such. But because they're the incorrect party that was never meant to get votes, they of course get demonized as "far right" and other labels once people actually start voting for them.

You don’t understand German code language. It has been strictly illegal to express racist stances publicly in Germany since ‘45. To circumvent the laws, Germans developed a complete code language. “Bad immigrants,” “respecting local culture,” “accepting host values,” “lack of integration,” “the lack of language skills,” are all code terms for someone who is not ethnically German. Once they remove the legal obstacles to expressing their cravings explicitly, you will hear it loud and clear. Just read what Germans responded to your comment here.

Germany needed skilled immigrants in 2010s, during the global tech boom. But back then it used to rank as the least welcoming destination for skilled immigrants (because these are also immigrants, in the first place). In the German language, there is no word for Expatriate. The word immigrant quite literally translates to "person of another land". This really tickles into the world of all the legal immigrants such as me, because the visa office has a right to interpret the immigration rules, and start creating a very hostile environment. The average German (including gov officials)then don't tend to differentiate between a legal and an illegal immigrant. This is the exact issue. The far right policies would also make it harder for legal immigrants to "make it in Germany".

As an Immigrant from India who came to Germany legally, I totally support stricter immigration rules. Am I digging my own grave? No, if Germany accepts every Indian who's coming here illegally, it will worsen stereotypes and definitely increase racism. It will lead to increase in crimes done by Indians, definitely petty ones, maybe serious ones as well. In my opinion - one who jump ships illegally to come here has already committed a crime against the people who are in a queue to come here legally and be good residents. Maybe I don't know about the details of a specific Party's intentions as much as the natives do, I definitely know my fair share of Indians. Talking about extremes - If I ever have to choose between being forced to leave the country or living in an unregulated country where "my people" create havoc and I am being seen as one of them, I would always choose the former.

I don't like this result, but: It shows that in Germany the representative parliamentary democracy works. Two parties not part of the Government organized a majority and now the government has to implement it. It is a practical example that in the end it is the parliament that makes the laws, not the chancellor or the ministers and their parties - it is their duty to implement the laws decided by the parliament, if they like them or not. Usually the majority in the parliament and in the government aligns, but does not have to. So while the outcome does not align with my stance on this, it documents that the parliamentary system in Germany is effectively working and the country is governed according to the laws decided by a majority in the parliament, always representing a majority of the voters in relation to that law. That in itself is a good thing.

@@nudel97 what part breaks the EU-law exactly? I don't remember EU-law stating illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay.
@nudel97
@nudel97 2 күн бұрын
@@crazy.panda12 To explain this further. Those people who committed those atrocies where here illegally and supposed to be deported, but authorities are simply unable to deal with them. Furthermore the "Aufenthaltsgesetz" (residence law) gets changed every few months. People have to learn new regularities everytime that happens and it happens way too often leading into a situation where nobody even knows what to do anymore. Meanwhile those "ready to be deported" people run around freely and that is a problem that should be tackled. Sure, letting nobody in reduces the immigrants but so does enabling authorities and one of those actions doesn't violate human rights of innocent people.

Being overly inclusive and letting everyone in with no restrictions only increases racism. With more policies and stricter selection, immigrants are less likely to be generalized or racially discriminated against due to the bad behavior of others. Stronger policies lead to better immigrants, and stricter selection allows you to choose those who will adapt and behave better in your culture and society.

I live in Ontario Canada. Germany has a land area 1/3 the size of Ontario and a population of 84.5 million people. 84.5 million!!! Canada, the second largest nation in the world, has a population of 40 million. We are having difficulty housing that populace after our left wing government opened the borders to mass immigration. I don't care where people come from but we have too many people here. And a tiny nation like Germany has more than twice the population?!?! Insanity!! And the left wing progressive parties who want to increase the population of an already outrageously overcrowded Germany are out of touch with reality. Your environment and its protection are under threat and you want to take more people in?! Straight up insanity.

It's just a motion for a resolution (Entschließungsantrag). It has no consequences. It's just for distracting German public from the flooding of the stressed labor market by foreigners from non European countries. Unemployment is down from 6 million at its height in 1995 to 2010 to 4 million (according to official numbers of the labor administration; the published numbers are always reduced to 2/3 of that). Far from full employment. From 1990 to 2020 three millions Germans left Germany. Emigration is still large.
