Being a Muslim, i love your criticism on this video. From my point of view you are a man of good thinking and you are honest about showing your feelings /reaction. What I really like about this video is that it ends with " Read". Interesting fact is, the first verse of the Quran that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is "Iqra", which means "Read". The Prophet was illiterate . He couldn't read. But Jibreel (Gabriel ) recited, " Read ". The experience shook him (pbuh) to his core. He went home to his wife Khadija, and asked her to embrace him tightly. The awakening is not easy, for anyone. Muslims should strive to earn money. There is nothing wrong with that. If we don’t have money we would not be able to help people around us. However the money we earn should not be in our hearts, but in our pockets. We must always remember that our sustenance is from Allah alone and he is the ultimate provider. But he wants us to work for it. He loves those who work hard and says in the Quran that He will give you what you strive for. As for those things which are going extinct. It is due to mankind and their wrong choices. It is not Allah’s fault. He has given us the brain and tools to do what is right. He has made us the caretakers of the earth. This life is a temporary one..if we remain patient and endure the severest hardships..our ranks will be the highest in the eyes of God..then truly will we be successful.. Brother, love your reaction - shows rational thinking and that you're actually trying to digest the information and not just reacting for views. It shows sincerity. Honestly, look into Islam. Once you become more knowledgable the problem you have about the world, the problem of evil, will disappear. As soon as you understand the Islamic model of life and purpose that issue disappears. Atheistically suffering is just "unlucky" and there is no "point" to it, no value behind it. So when children starve and people die and evil exists you can't help but feel angry at the injustice and inequality. Yet, ironically it is muslims who are the most charitable group. We believe all suffering has value and purpose, yet we fulfil our obligation to aid those in need more than most groups, especially compared to the atheistic counter part who seems to care so much about humanity (not that I'm trying to insult). In Islam we believe Allah SWT has wisdom and knowledge over all things, and although we see an event in life as unjust it is our own inadequacy that fails to see the blessing within. In all suffering there is a blessing, a purpose. From removal of bad deeds, a method of purification, to a lesson for you to see, analyse, and believe. Because it is in times of need that people seek a higher being, when life's wind and tsunamis come crashing on your castle - due to which you've only just realised is built on sand and has no foundations, it is only then you question for what has your life been. The foundation I speak of comes as an analogy to your purpose in life, and the castle is what you've done and accomplished. When life gets hard and reality sets in, only then do you realise the materialistic purpose you have, is of no value. Although it may not seem like it in the moment, all troubles are blessings and signs for you, along with everything else in existence if you chose to see. I may sound like a lunatic, so don't take my word for it. Research into Islam with an open heart and ask for guidance sincerely. One thing I want to comment on when you mentioned that you don't have good health and that you have a serious disease and you raised the question, how can you be gifted and or blessed in that situation. I will try to answer that. Imagine if you weren't created at all!! Brother, everyone on this earth has his own test. Some people their wealth would be their own test. Some it's poverty and some others it's war...etc. Another thing you said in the beginning and I'll quote you "if God created me I have to be grateful" which means that you don't know until now if there is a God or not. For person with short life because of sickness, it is a blessing.. because 1. Sick person have a very short time but enough for them to find the truth. You choose the truth, god forgives you and you have a clean record as newborn baby. And by your time to go, you have no bad deed, is that not a blessing from good? 2. Healthy person, enjoy the life, not even think about life after death. Maybe their times up just by accident,get kill, sickness because of intoxicated.....or maybe something like Final Destination scene. God is a being. Not male nor female. I Imagine Allah being a bright light. But that’s personal for everyone. Some people believe God looks like a man, others say god is a woman. Everything bad that is happening is directly/indirectly people's doing. Many people say babies are dying, what type of god can allow that. Well ask, why are they dying? Is it because of a man-made cause? Then again, this life is a test from god. In a test you are supposed to struggle. Finally, think what are the blessings god has blessed upon us.
