I am planning in my mind a drop off tank but doing it totally in a new way - when Bitcoin hits E1mil - then you will have to come to Portugal (where I will move) and help me with the scape and then come back when it's done ;) I will use an Elos tank I think - I want it to be like 150x100x60(h) - but I'd like it Eurobraced - have to see if Elos can do it ;)

What a beautiful tank and corals. Very inspiring. I would have put a gyre circulation pump in the middel of the lowest corner, behind the rocks, if it was my tank. It would have been out of site and also create a better flow in combi with the return pump and the other two flow pumps of the upper part. And one of de existing pumps in random mode

European reefers really know how to position a tank and make it work in the room. I’ve seen loads of tanks in australia with really nice healthy colonies, but the tank and room rarely work as well together as many of the European tanks you exhibit.

Die Aquariumform ist nicht so meins, aber der Besatz dafür um so mehr. Sehr schönes Becken und sehr professionell aufgebaut. Das war nicht billig. Hoffe das gibt keine Algen, wenn die Sonne direkt drauf scheint..

If only you could get proper flow with sand in it... maybe I dont see it happening though..I have a 1w gallon drop off reef and it is very difficult to get decent water flow at the bottom and at all sides..

That isn’t really a drop off like on an actual coral reef. You would need an oceanarium sized aquarium to pull that off. Residential reef aquariums tend to be small and take up only a small fraction of space in a home unless you’re David Saxby. You really need to see David Saxby’s tank. It’s in the U.K. so not German or Dutch or Belgium but still pretty amazing. If that’s the reason for ignoring his aquarium.
