I'm so sorry, but as a Certified Dog Trainer and Certified Assistance Dog Trainer, (25 years), and an Evaluator for the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program, (10 years), I must tell you I honestly see this is an accident waiting to happen. Rocky's very sweet but he is a much different breed than Bailey or Teddy. Goldens are amiable and gentle, Bernese Mountain Dogs are good natured and docile, and Shepherds are loyal and protective. Bailey was the first dog in this pack so when Rocky came along he instinctively knew to honor his elder. Not so with Teddy as he came after Rocky. It doesn't help that they all appear to still be intact, (not neutered), however the force of unchecked testosterone in a Shepherd has a much higher potential towards aggressive behaviors than the other two. And as much as I love this young couple, petting, holding and coddling ANY dog that is growling, snarling and baring it's teeth is a reinforcer for that behavior. Rocky is incredibly stressed here. Think about the times when he held Bailey to make Rocky jealous...do you remember Bailey behaving as negatively toward Rocky as Rocky is towards Teddy? I absolutely love this channel, these dogs, the cats and all the other critters that stop by, but I would be remiss as professional in the business if I didn't say something. Trust me, I can feel the backlash coming before I even hit send, however if I didn't, I would never forgive myself if something bad were to happen.

You’re absolutely right but these videos are designed to maximise internet revenue. If that means putting dogs into an unnatural environment for clicks then so be it. Won’t be long before we see such videos as Mongoose and Cobra become best friends with cute kitten.

may i ask something? is there any disadvantages in neutering a dog? because for me it was always natural when my family adopted our pets. specially if its a male one... it does affect their behavior, right? but in a good way. it just seems safer not only for us but for them too, and less stressful... i really love these doggos, and because i lost my two princesses and can't really adopt another one at the moment, these channels bring me so much joy and love, so i always kind of just ignored the little red flags on behalf of one of my only sources of happiness atm, but is it really joyful if at the end they're suffering? i guess the couple really loves them too, but bad choices are made by everyone... anyways, thank you for speaking up in a professional level. i hope they try to understand it.

Agree that this is an accident waiting to happen. I have a Shepherd and she has never behaved like that around our other dogs nor would we tolerate, much less encourage, aggressive behavior between our dogs. This looks like a bad dog fight waiting to happen and it's setting Rocky up to have serious behavioral issues. He's such a good boy I hate to see this.

I don´t think this is primarily about jealousi. However, it´s about hierarchy and that this man does not have a clear leadership role in the pack. This leads to Rocky having to protect his owner - a risky constellation in the long run.

Rocky has learned to growl like Bailey, lol. I have 3 dogs and it really seems to go by seniority, whoever I had first. Rocky was there before Teddy, I imagine that Bailey would get dad first if he was there and Rocky would have to wait his turn.

I love GSD's and Alsatians. I grew up with them and are great dogs. Mr. Mc Daniels comments make a lot of sense. One of my dogs (Kado) was an alpha dog and it would unsettle him if I would call or show affection for his full brother from the same litter Kido. I, however, did my best to give Kido the love and affection that a wonderful sweet dog like him required and deserved. It was not easy as Kado always had to be the star of the show. Maybe I should have taken them to a dog shrink. It did not occur to me to do so for it was the 1980's and never knew of one in our state/territory (Puerto Rico). I miss them dearly as I miss my previous dog, Falko.

There is a hierarchy. Rocky is the senior and has a priority to get hugs from Daddy. Teddy accepts the situation as being the youngest dog... By the end, Rocky seems to accept somewhat to share Daddy's hugs with Teddy...
