German U-Boat Type VII C "U 96" 1/350 Revell Full Build Video | RWO Models

This time a different subject matter and a somewhat simpler model as I build the infamous German U-Boat Type VII C from World War II in 1/350 scale. I liked the small Revell kit pretty much and added a few details using Eduard photoetch parts. Being a fan of the movie classic "Das Boot" I chose the "U 96" paint scheme and followed the paint instructions from the build manual - just to find out the U-Boat in the movie looked very different from my finished model! So before you hit the thumbs down button, yes, I know I messed up. Hope you like the model and/or video anyway...

Hey Modelorian, vielen Dank für deinen wie immer sehr netten und motivierenden Kommentar! Und sorry für die späte Antwort! Ich bin hier momentan nicht sehr aktiv. Das kleine U-Boot war alles, was ich in den letzten Monaten zustande bekommen habe. Parallel dazu hatte ich noch eine F-4J angefangen, die liegt aber erst mal auf Eis. In die Videos fließt immer extrem viel Zeit und Energie, dennoch sind die Zahlen für den Kanal rückläufig. Das passt für mich momentan so nicht mehr. Mal sehen, wann und wie es weitergeht, Ideen und Projekte gäbe es genug. Danke jedenfalls für deinen Support, wünsche dir viel Erfolg! 🍀 Viele Grüße und vielleicht bis bald. 🙂

Hi Les, it's always a great pleasure to read your fantastic comments from "down under", really appreciate it! 🙂 I haven't been too productive this year due to some health issues, and this small and simple U-Boat was everything I was able to put together in the last few months. Also, my motivation to put so much effort into my videos has significantly decreased since the YT algorithm let down some of my recent videos for no apparent reason. Klasse Arbeit! Irgendwie muss man sich auch auf die Anleitung verlassen können und nicht stundenlang Recherche leisten, damit man weiß, wie die Lackierung richtig ausgeführt wird. Ich hab Abweichungen, auch schon bei meinem 1/1200 Modellen, und aktuell, bei der Bismarck 1/700 feststellen müssen. Manches aber noch rechtzeitig bemerkt. Wo besteht der Vorteil, wenn man Hälften zusammenfügt und danach den Kleber aufträgt und durch Kapillarwirkung einziehen lässt? Ich bin es gewohnt, erst den Kleber aufzutragen und dann zusammenzufügen. Ich sehe diese Vorgehensweise, aber immer wieder.

The company name is "Uschi van der Rosten" (www.uschivdr.com) and the product is called "Rig that thing". It's a very elastic string material and comes in different sizes, I used "Superfine" for this build. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Bonjour RWO models , j'adore ce que vous faites , c'est vraiment impressionnant et de plus vous montez énormément de modèles au 1/72 qui est mon échelle préférée mais également les peintures Vallejo que j'utilise tout le temps , donc c'est vraiment avec un immense plaisir que je visualise et regarde à de nombreuses reprises vos vidéos que j'adore . Il ya une seule si je peux vous demandez , serait-il possible de mettre dans vos vidéos la pression que vous utilisez quand vous utilisez votre aerographe ainsi que dilution de vos peintures, si c'est possible et si bien-sur vous le voulez bien, un grand grand merci pour votre partage et un grand bravo pour le travail que vous réalisez, à très bientôt 😁😁😄😄👍👍👍👍👍

@@RWOModels merci beaucoup pour ta réponse Mr RWO Models Olivier 😁😁😁je suis comme toi pour les produits Vallejo et je ne monte que du 1/72 ou du 1/700 pour les bateaux, c'est pour cela que je me suis permis de te poser cette question par rapport à ta façon de travailler avec l'aerographe . Personnellement H&S évolution et infinity avec buse de 0.2 et 0.15 et une pression maximum de 1bar. Pour la dilution de la peinture pour 12 gouttes de peintures , 2 à 3 gouttes de thinner et 1 à 2 gouttes de flow improver. @@RWOModels Ja, die Farben für U96 stimmen mit dem Original nicht ganz überein, aber es ist und bleibt eine sehr gute Version. Light grey XF-66 für die obere Wasserlinie und für die untere german grey XF-63 von Tamiya eignen sich als Grundlage sehr gut. Gruß condock24

You really need to measure and stop being a lier about what scale this is.its not 1/350 scale.

Not sure what you mean. In the video you can see I'm actually unboxing the 1/350 scale version. The Type VII C boat was 67 meters long, the model measures 19,1 centimeters which is pretty much exactly 1/350.
