I have been looking forward to this. I greatly appreciate seeing games from wargaming focused companies especially historical games. They don't get anywhere the attention they deserve. I find Bolt Action has been gaining traction recently and I can only hope that you will continue to make these reports and consider others historical wargames as well.

I play British airborne and mostly commandos n10 (interallies) as a French I am :) I love this gameplay with small trained squad. Very efficient ! Tell me how u want to play yours!!

@@Ben_de_pick I followed the list on the back of the box best I could (still learning weapons and such) but I also bought some tam o' shanters to make them into Scots. So they are the Scottish Airborne.

I just got British airborne to. the starter army with all the support units building them up this week can’t wait to get them on the table.

Ive played British airborne for years. I highly suggest you look at several 'British Airborne Recce Jeeps'. Run them at regular and upgrade their MMG. They then have recce AND fire 10 MMG shots, for 45 points. Insane point efficiency.

Luca in firearm nomenclature there is no such thing as an “assault rifle” AR stands for ArmaLite, the brand which brought the platform into popularity

Only gun to actually have assault rifle in it’s name is the SCAR, even the civilian variants still carry the SCAR name, so it can be called an Assault Rifle quite literally cause of it’s name.

FYI: loading/reloading a Bolt Action Rifle is not fast unless it uses either detachable magazines and/or stripper clips. Now cycling the action, that is a different story.

I loved the Bolt Action Battle Report! Also Josh is correct that since the 1960's there has been no major innovations in small arms. However the the hundred years before that was almost nothing but major innovations. This is due to major leaps in metallurgy, gun powder, self-contained ammunition and military doctrine in that 100 year period.
