Andrew and Dan -- GREAT JOB ON THE BOARD; the buildings, industrial tanks, rubble, everything looks so very GOOD!!!

lol the flamethrower KV2 battle. it reminded me how much i love playing bolt action. Awesome looking table! One of the best I've seen ever. I liked the dynamic of the FUBAR dice. It really changes the way you have to play and pushes players to play the game more than the rules.

Fluffy Gutts agreed. Andrew and Dan did a great job on this board. And this is only part of it. There is enough to cover like a 12’ table.

I can just imagine how the KV-2 would try to smush the kubel with it's HE shell, then missing the escapeing crew at point blank, before the MGs killing them off

Just stumbled upon this and oh my! What a gorgeous table! This is one of the most beautiful battlefields i've ever seen for BA, but looking at the scenario rules and armies composition, i fear it will almost be a one-sided battle...

Nice video With regards to the Fubar dice , We had a similar mechanic when we played arc of fire..Scott Fisher and the guys put two cards in the deck for the activations the first card would read get ready for something to happen and then the second card obviously would say Something Happens then we would roll on a chart for the last activated unit would either have a good or bad thing depending on what you roll ...it was a random events chart It was only activated if you pulled out the two cards in order if you pulled out the Random event card before you pulled out the get ready for something to happen card then nothing happened .. it was kind of way to mix things up it was really fun very similar to Sharp practice events table

You should play another city or village game. This was good.

I feel the fubar dice makes it more similar to CoC with that not everyone gets to activate each turn. I think if you play like this the snap to action will be more useful. Really nice terrain and I really like BA. I just hope they fix disapearing HE when you miss in the next edition. It really makes HE really hit or miss. I would like it more if it scattered if it missed.
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
Andreas Haij it definitely makes snap too much more important. And knowing you have those fubar dice in there would make you want to spend more for a higher leader

Adding and end of turn die really improves BA. We also use 2 such dice in the bag with the first one out been called the Warning Shot. Why do you give the player who has just gone a free go at that point? Would it not be fairer to give it to the player who did'nt just go?
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
Norman Wood you could do it either way. Letting the last player activate gives them a slight edge for a little while

A cool variation on the rules, though it seems to me that loading the bag with extra order dice consisting of smaller units could be exploited unless some sort of house rules are incorporated. Fielding smaller units is normally a disadvantage (Morale checks, HE and assault vulnerability) but in a game where the opponent might not even get to activate their full complement of units it seems less disadvantageous.
@tabletopcp4 жыл бұрын
John Doe I guess if you were looking to exploit the rules you could. But if people just make a normal list it isn’t a problem
@JohnDoe-yr4wc4 жыл бұрын
@@tabletopcp Very true. You guys are always very sporting in the games I've watched, so no problems there. 😀

This table is so cool. How did you do the rubble that is not part of the buildings? did you buy some stones and just poured them over the battlefield while setting up the table?
@tabletopcp3 жыл бұрын
I think the rubble is just little bricks that Andrew made.
@maltemenger56203 жыл бұрын

That was a great game on some fantastic terrain. You could use that for just about any bombed out city. You could even use that for those diabolical Nazi zombies and werewolves. Have you thought about playing one of your modern special operations games on that board? Very cold war James Bond.

Yeah never mind the guy with the cameras incredibly lucky rolls but the fact that he ALWAYS seems to neglect rules when they don’t favour him. Where do I even begin. He gave advantages to himself and screwed the other guy for firing/hits, (I’m sure he did the math wrong more than once and it favoured him each time) including giving himself an extra hit when attacks the guys mortar, he didn’t give some of his own units pins, you can’t back a vehicle up and turn, not to mention a KV1 is “slow”, probably neglected that as well, I saw at least once where he didn’t tell the guy he wasn’t rolling enough dice due to “Hitlers buzzsaw” rule, and the final assault you can’t assault with two units at once and I’m sure the guy would of gotten defensive fire there, then as far as the whole game goes and not counting turns, how does that work?! Having way more Russian infantry pretty much guaranteed him the win with the way he set up the game. The guy seems to roll lucky and then cheat on top of it. I mean with unlimited turns... he could of just drove around with his KV1 after taking out the flamethrower and it would of pretty much been invincible and with unlimited turns he could of just sat back and only sent his tank forward to kill everyone. I see exactly what he did this to make it that it was almost impossible to lose the game. What a D bag. Wish I could play him sometime, dude would be in for a rude awaking.
