It's been a while since my last more ambitious Countryballs animation, so I decided to make something new, based on the end of World War I and the downfall of the German Empire, which definitely was an event that greatly changed Europe and its history. Besides showing the end of monarchy in Germany, the video also features the beginnings of the USSR, the collapse of Austria-Hungary, the rebirth of Poland, etc. Enjoy!

What would I change? Remove bolsheviks from power, disestablish RSFSR as well as Russian Republic and all other communist states, in Russia restore the Empire, but without Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbajian. Habsburgs would relinquish all their hereditary titles outside of Austria, and Austria itself reduced to a mere Kingdom. Another Habsburg put on a throne in Hungary, but as a separate royal family, same in Czechoslovakia. Bulgaria should have retained their coasf on the Aegan sea. Yugoslavia never formed. Slovenia and Croatia estabilished as independent states. In Albania, German dynasty retained. Ottoman Empire dissolved and reformed into Sultanate of Turkey, with Ataturk's reforms. Ionia and Eastern Thrace ceded to Greece.

My idea would be for Germany to win in Europe but give in to the Republicans, Austria-Hungary it disintegrates, but the Austrians and Sudetenland are integrated into Germany, Hungary would only keep Transylvania, Slovakia would be ceded to Poland, Italy would get its desired territories, the Balkans, Ukraine and Belarus would exist as well as Yugoslavia, Belgium would be a German puppet.

Tsarigrad question, well either an international rule with a Vatican-City like Caliphate state, or being ceded to Greece, but first option should be more practical for everyone. Pontus estabislihed. Armenia and Georgia being given their respective territories in the West. In place of Anglo-French colonialism, put a Hashamite Kingdom of Arabia, with a Jewish autonomy. Jerusalem under international mandate or a city-state. Polish coridor being solved with a Polish motorway and railway, and that's it, just cross the border twice, like there's any massive border controls like today (Or just give all of East Prussia to Poland then); Danzig, in those circumstances, to Germany. Germany remains a monarchy and keeps Eupen and Malmedy. That's pretty much it. Ah yes, newly created European states to be monarchies of course, with Poland, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Lithuania and Croatia, Georgia and Armenia being Kingdoms, others either Grand Duchies or Principalities. Outside of Europe and Near East, well, China being allowed to have a Republic, but in reduced borders, Japan out of Korea. For colonial holds, I doubt any of them would leave it in that time.

Austria-Hungary should have been left intact (perhaps with the exceptions of Galicia and Bukovina, those could still have gone to Poland(, Ukraine) and Romania).

What reason did Austria have to exist as a nation after it lost its empire, and its people wanted to re-incorporate into a German realm? What reason did it have to not just be a region part of Germany, just like Bavaria, back then? The fact was that the Allies disallowed such a thing. There's a reason it was called German Austria back then, even though it was independent, and it still owned the Sudetenland.

Personally, I don't mind Catholics for the issue, but his borders of Germany and his Germany was a success, for the time being. And not to mention Austria wasn't only German country that wasn't part of Germany. What about South Swabia in Switzerland, Burgundy, West-Lotharingia, Belgian Luxemburg? Microstates?

Lol, this video will just participate to spread over the myth that the Versailles treaty was cruel and not fair. A typical kaiserboo argument. Look, Fance had to pay 25% of its GDP to Germany, in 1871 after the franco-prussian war. Germany's war reparations represented only 6% of its GDP. The economic disasters in Germany are just because of the German government. When it comes to territorial losses, well the retribution of Alsace-Lorraine was obsviously non-negociable for France. And when it comes to Poland: Poznania and parts of Silesia were inhabited mostly by Poles (btw Bismarck tried to germanize these territories by force) The only thing "unfair" with Versailles for Germany was that it was designated as responsible for the Great War. And by the way: if Versailles is not a fair treaty: can we talk a second about Brest-Litovsk lol??

Young Bosnia were hired to do it, by who, I can't tell for sure, there are many candidates. Kingdom of Serbia has nothing to do with it.

@@professionaldriver77878 IThe Entente did not remove the monarchy in Germany. Germany removed it by itself during its Revolution. The kaiser abdicated on 9 november 1918, 2 days before the armistice. And in 1870, it was indeed France who attacked Germany (though it was precisely what Bismarck wanted). But in 1914? I think you should read German historian Gerd Krumeich about the outbreak of the Great War. Even though I sometimes disagree with him, he at least debunked the idea that the Russians and the French were more responsible (idea that was spreaded by historian Christopher Clark). It was more of a common responsibility. And nobody imagined that the war would last that long and would be this bloody anyway.
