Dragons on Flags

Extra would gladly approve of a flag that breaks all flag conventions if it has a dragon on it

Some countries like making their national animals a mythical one, and a few of those have even put those animals on their flags. This video talks about the origins of the Welsh, Maltese and Bhutanese dragons specifically.

3:32 According to 1 person, the red dragon's association with Cadwaladr started because an dude in England in 1718 wrote that Cadwaladr was the person who flew the flag without knowing that's not true. Or at least that's the furtherest he could trace it back as. The video is on KZbin, and the video was started to correct a inaccurate statement on Wikipedia about the flag, and descented into a half-hour long video tracing back to the source of where Cadwaladr was first mentioned in the history of the red dragon. It's called "The Internet's Flag that Doesn't Exist [Parts 1&2]".

The story of the Welsh dragon actually dwells into a lot of folklore. Let the Welsh man explain. The Mabinogion is a Welsh folkbook filled with many popular folklore. The tale of two dragons is one of them. Basically the Welsh dragon (red) and the English dragon (white) kept on fighting and one day the welsh one won. It is Said that it is buried under the land of wales. Although I only heard it a few times I sometimes hear that the dragons spirit possesses someone who will save wales, such as Owain Glyndŵr.

1:10 Garuda is actually the bird that Lord Vishnu of Hinduism rides on. Most people haven't seen it but it's probably exists... somewhere according to my beliefs. Hinduism and Hindu names came to Thailand and Indonesia long before the Muslims and Buddhists. So, many people use words like Raya (king) in their names. There are a minority of Thai Hindus in Thailand and most Balinese are also Hindus (although they are monotheistic for some reason). According to the Ramayana, Garuda's feathers are mythical. It can probably heal someone attacked by the Brahmastra. So, on the battlefield, Lakshmana (brother of Lord Rama) was unconscious but Garuda came and rubbed his feathers over Lakshmana, which caused him to regain his consciousness.

1) Bhutan's Dragon was always meant to be White. 2) The Guy who united Bhutan wasn't just an "Abbot of the Monastery". He was the Leader of the Drukpa Kagyu Lineage who sought refuge in Bhutan after being Driven out of Tibet by the King of U-Tsang & the Tibetan Factions favouring his Rival, HH Gyalwang Pagsam Wangpo. The Man who would go on to Create Druk Yul after this incident was none other than HH Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, a Descendant of HH Drogon Tsangpa Gyare Yeshi Dorji, the Founder of the Drukpa Lineage & like his ancestor, was a member of the Prominent Gya Clan. 3) The Monastery U are referring to is probably Ralung Monastery in the Tsang Region of Western Tibet, which wasn't named after Druk (Thunder Dragons). Instead, the Drukpa Lineage sect of the Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism was named after the 9 Druk soaring towards the sky, which HH Tsanpa Gyare Yeshi Dorji witnessed while on a pilgrimage. A Simple Internet Search and referring Legitimate Tibetan & Bhutanese Sources can easily get U all the information U want.
