Christian Clavier is my only favorite Asterix!! He and noone else can portray him as well as he did!! Also the actor who played Ceasar here... As a young teen... I found him quite sexy...

Yea they look great to play the characters! I wanna check the movie out if I get the chance, although with an English dub cuz I can’t understand French. Edit: I have the English Dub, I love it!

It's same here, it's sad for today actors i guess, but for me, only Christian clavier is asterix and only Depardieu is obelix

It’s Christian Clavier, he is not very famous in American but he is an important celebrity in France. His only American role was Andre in Just Visiting which is actually a remake from one of his famous movie in France : Les Visiteurs ( he even played the same character ).

There is no other actor who did justice to the character of Caesar as Gottfried John in the later Live action movies.
