As A German, I am so happy that Germany finally decided to send something different, something that is deeply rooted in our musical culture & something that makes me happy to be a German. This is a heavy metal ballad made right! I'm uber excited for May!

The people of Germany have spoken! For the first time in many years, the public voice was actually heard and this band got over 40% of the public votes (televotes and online votes), making them win the national finals after the Jury placed them in the middle field - and it was an international jury brought in via facecall. The german people were pissed with the way our constant was chosen for many years, and last years debacle with Electric Callboy finally gave us enough: We shitstormed the shite out of the broadcaster who would choose the contestant behind close doors on their own, the national final show being just a show. You can bet your booties that right now the ESC fandom is full of happy germans. Oh, and they are not exactly a metal band, as they combine several different sounds from german 'underground' musical genres in sound AND looks - metal, rock, glam, goth, pagan, industrial, medieval, a hint of Euotrash the omnipresent influence of the german trans/drag/gay main stronghold of St. Pauli, where they are from.

This year the phone vote won, we (the Germans) were not very happy with the last choices of the German ESC jury. This song has everything (metal,scream,goth,glam,rock) and it shows that we don't only listen to one-size-fits-all.

It's such a fantastic song and finally something different from the usual 'boring' pop/radio songs. It's fast, it's slow, soft and heavy and the deep voice is amazing. There is so much going on in this song. Love it! 😍🇩🇪

Definitely a polarising song but I'm enjoying it. The vocals are really spectacular with the deep melody coupled with the metal scream/growl. Depending on who's watching in May this could do well (Lordi style) or flop. But I'm glad Germany at least decided to send them.

Germany has just decided to send something actually popular out of Germany this year. They had the chance to send Electric Callboy and fucked up last year - they've learnt their lesson. Germany has a huge industrial metal music scene - send one of the best examples of it.
