Jeeps thru Kronach, Germany w/ heavy smoke from buildings; tanks; trucks. Sign Bayeruth 45 km; Bamberg 59km; heavily burning buildings beyond. Tanks moving slowly past as roof burning w/ flames.
Countryside from ditch, shell explosions on mountain top. Vehicles firing from valley. Railroad yard & fire near road. hose over iron beam. City street & people fighting fires. Well dressed woman follows American soldier cameraman up street; view from beside men w/ fire hoses.
Villagers raise hands as soldiers run past, man tells boy not to whistle. Soldiers into buildings. Old men & women watching, women crying. Man walks up road w/ white flag. Army trucks moving in background.
