They were obviously English clubs weren't they, totally dominant at that time in Europe. 1976 - 1984 every year bar one an English team were European champions. If it wasn't for the Heysel ban it would have very likely continued. Celtic in 1967 was the only ever Scottish winner! Despite being banned for 5 years at their peak, English clubs have won 14 ..
