The games between those two teams always ended 2-0 in that period. Dk 2-0 Ger in 1986, Ger 2-0 DK in 1988 and DK 2-0 GER in 1992⚽️

Wonderful header by Olaf Thon at the second goal if there ever was one. Not only did he smack the ball right under the cross bar, he also won the duel against Danish defender Ivan Nielsen who is 23 cm taller (!) than him. How was it even physically possible that Thon got to the ball?

They are not vuvuzelas at all, they are airhorns/ klaxons, they made the atmosphere in all European soccer games throughout the 1980’s. That noise added to those games. What do we have today in 2023? Pitches and stadia that look all the same, box net goalposts that look all the same. There is ZERO! atmosphere now at games today. Its all so boring and generic.

Fast jeder sah Dänemark 1986 schon als Weltmeister, weil sie die schwere Gruppe mit Deutschland, Schottland und Uruguay als Sieger meisterten! Dann kam Spanien im Achtelfinale... 😪

WC 1986 match was completely one sided - Denmark should have won by about 5-1 or 6-2. Even match in Euro 92, but Denmark put their chances away.

So krass war es jetzt auch wieder nicht! Deutschland hatte auch seine Chancen gegen Dänemark. Aber im Spiel gegen Uruguay hätte Dänemark eigentlich 9 Tore schießen müssen. Am Ende waren es "nur" 6!
