Very nice video. As a fellow American I wish more Americans would travel abroad and experience people and life in other countries. That famous quote by Mark Twain: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things can not be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime."

Congratulations on 100k. The old saying holds some truth, home is where the heart is, and after six years can you say your heart hasn't already settled in Germany? I think it has! I am a German/American born and raised in Ohio, and though Ohio has kept me, my heart and home is in Germany. I wasn't raised like most Americans, those German values were instilled into me, and now I understand why my grandfather chose Ohio as well as many German immigrants. Now I am proud to say, I'm coming home to Germany, because I want to spend what time I have left where my heart is. Follow your heart, and I promise... no matter where it leads you... you'll be happy. Good luck with your future endeavors

Our feelings for Germany seem very similar. I was a U.S. soldier that had two, 3 year tours in Germany. First in Würzburg then Nellingen just outside Stuttgart. My biggest regret is that I didn’t stay there. I feel like I’m a German in the U.S. After so many years since I was living there I still don’t feel comfortable in the states anymore. I'm glad you posted the video, because there's a growing number of Germans who need to be reminded of how great a place to live in Germany actually is. Yes, it has its flaws, it isn't perfect by a long shot, but it's still much better than some people who were born in Germany would try to make you believe. I'm not a regular viewer of your YT channel by no means (I use YT mainly for language learning and currently I'm busy improving my Italian), but I really like your videos. Also, I used to work in Schwäbisch-Hall some 20 years ago and can relate to what it feels like living in that city. Sometimes, when I'm in a call with my friends from Italy (who, in turn, are learning German), we check out videos from Easy German and I was delighted to see you in one of their episodes, your acting was spot-on, really cracked me up :-D Thanks for reminding us, that Germany isn't really all that bad. Unfortunately sometimes we lose perspective and indulge ourselves in "Heulen auf hohem Niveau".

Thanks for your videos Nalf. Whenever I had a bad day and I saw you uploaded another video I was looking forward to watch it in the evening. Made me calm down and relax. Big thank you. Been here right from the start and it's so cool to follow you grow. I aged with you lol. Started following you in my 30s, now I'm 44. Different jobs, divorce etc... Nalf's always been there lol

Oh mate, thanks for your emotional post. As a native german I always had my difficulties to tell, where I am from, when abroad, with "our" history in mind. Having live abroad for almsot 10 years, I noticed, how much I miss Germany and its people. I did not feel like a loser when finally I gave in and moved back. In fairy tales they would say: and ge lived happily ever after. So I do. Wish you all the best for your live and decisions If things dont work out, you know, where we are!🤗

Thank you, for your decision, so it was possible for me, to learn about the feelings of a man who is a stranger in my country, so you show me a direction for a better understanding for people from other countries, to overcome my own preconceptions. 👋👍

Knew my family came from Ötisheim and looked it up again yesterday. Then I saw something: Schwäbisch Hall is just 70 km to the ENE. Now your videos have taken on a more special meaning for me.

Life is about understanding, accepting, and embracing authenticity...Germany has helped facilitate this for you and obviously expedited your growth..congratulations on all. In an odd but lovely way, you have publically articulated my own deep feelings about Germany. My community here in Leipzig and Dresden are clearly aware of my affinity, but its wonderful that you have amplified in an extraordinarily effective way this thinking to a wider audience. I'm a retired teacher and Michigan grad (beat SC !), and have had the privilege and joy of living in this exceptional country for 23 years. I'm not going anywhere, and I humbily suggest with the sincere respect you will consider the same. My appreciation mirrors yours. My best to you...and Go Blue ! .

No!!!! Thank you Nalf for all the videos and sharing your experience with me and the KZbin world. I’ve watched you throughout all these years which is crazy in itself. While back in the states I’ve been dreaming and working on coming back home to Germany, which was not an easy task but l finally achieved that 4 months ago!! I left Germany when I was 7 and had lived there all my lif till 4 months ago. It is the best decision I’ve made in my life!! Keep the vids coming, your a special person, one of a kind, destined for greater things yet to come!! 🤩 Maybe I could by you a beer and a butter pretzel ine day!!
