I bought this a year ago for $38 on clearance (very lucky) and it has worked pretty well. I had always thought to upgrade to something better but after watching this I am not so sure it is worth it. However, I use generic filters from Amazon that cost between $11 and $14. I would love to see reviews with 3rd party filters incorporated into this as well or maybe just do videos comparing different filters. That actually might be more important, because I buy filters much more often than I buy air purifiers.

As I mentioned in the video, the position of the UV-C light is not the best. Anyway, it kills some germs as a small amount of the air is going through the UV light.

No, this model doesn't have auto mode or smart sensors. It is fully manual, so you have to use an external air quality meter. But, don't worry about that, you will feel when the cleaner air, trust me. I'm not sure, but you can check the price of the UV bulb on Amazon. It's not the best option for smoke. I'VE WATCHED A FEW AIR PURIFIER REVIEWS OF YOURS.. AND NONE OF THEM EVER DO THE SIZE ROOM THAT THEY CAN SAY THEY CAN DO ACCORDING TO YOU 🤣 The question is how are they doing their tests and how are you doing your tests? Because on the Amazon description on this one it says that this one can clean 700 ft², one time in 1 hour.. or circulate 700 ft² in 1 hour or something like that.. I'm just curious how they do their tests? Have you ever bothered to call these manufacturers and ask them how they're making these claims? Because even though you're not directly telling them they are lying it's kind of like you are.. Because they're saying it's suited for a larger rooms but you're saying it's not.. and you've done this with just about every one of your reviews.. The question is who do we believe The manufacturers or you? I wish that someone would get to the bottom of it and find out what they're doing versus what you're doing? What equipment are they using? Is it more expensive than yours? How are they doing their measurements? It's just very bizarre?
@AirPurifierFirst3 жыл бұрын
No one is lying. The thing is that they are marketing specialists who know how to write a good copy. I do tests in rooms that are the same, a bit smaller or a bit larger than the size manufacturer suggests. Every test is in a real-time environment, and I use a particle meter for testing purposes. After that, I compare results and conclude whether the unit is good for the suggested room size or not. Besides, I do some other tests such as putting the air purifier in my room, my brother's room, or any other room in the house, after which I/We conclude if there is any difference in air quality. Furthermore, this GermGuardian AC4825E is AHAM certified for a 153 sq. ft. room, which you can check on the AHAM website: www.ahamdir.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/certificate.html Lastly, the CADR for this model is very LOW, and that CADR is not enough for air purifier usage in a room of 700 sq. ft. To summarise, 1x air circulation per hour is not sufficient (it is for marketing purpose), the device has to be capable of circulating air 4x or more per hour for cleaning the room in a real-life environment appropriately.
@muzikmon22673 жыл бұрын
@@AirPurifierFirst yeah and that's the thing if you use that logic then none of them are good enough for the room sizes they specify.. They The experts recommend units that can be able to clean a room 4 times per hour.. And none of them can do the rooms they recommend 4 times per hour For some reason they're all based on 2 times per hour. I mean just about every single manufacturer markets their air purifier that way.. How do they all get away with this... At least I noticed with my 400S It says 1560 ft² 2 times per hour and then it says 780 ft² 4 times per hour. So at least they're telling you if you're looking for that 4 times per hour rating keep it in a 780 ft² room.. I don't know where they all got this 2 times per hour thing?
@muzikmon22673 жыл бұрын
@@AirPurifierFirst Isn't the only thing that matters is the particle measurements.. 4 types per hour 2 times per hour.. why does that matter. If you take a measurement of the pollution like you do I understand you do it per hour in a room.. but what if it takes 4 hours to get that 93% reduction. What if it takes one day? If it still gets you the room clean isn't that all that matters It just takes longer? So with that logic them saying it will clean a 700 ft² room one time per hour.. maybe it'll take that little machine 3 hours or so to get all those particles out of that 700 ft² room. Has anyone done this test? Has anyone taken a little machine like that let it run for three or four hours take it a measurement of the pollution and see how much it can reduce the pollution in about three or four hours?
