I saw Gerry playing with Ted McKenna and a Dutch guy Marcus Scherpenzeel in town here about ten years ago, a great tribute to Rory's music. RIP Ted and Rory, both hugely missed.

Some years ago I had the chance to see and hear the Band of Friends in a small venue in the Netherlands. It wasn''t really Rory Gallagher, but it was close because of the energy of Gerry McAvoy and the quality of the Dutch solo guitarist which was supposed to be Rory Gallagher. And although he wasn't bad it's a hugh effort to come close to Rory Gallagher. I'm glad to have attended this, just to revive the memories I have of the concerts of Rory in the '70's and '80's

Nicht schlecht und der Mann rechts hat auch was von EDDY VAN HALEN gelernt(neben RORY GALLAGHER)...! (Not bad ,and the guitarrist on the right also knows some EDDY VAN HALEN-tapping,of course huge influence from R.Gallagher...!) :-)

В России ничего не знают про Rory , как правило . Я выучил и исполнил под гитару For the last time людям . В конце . Постарался передать его интонацию , энергетику . И я в ответ почувствовал такую мощную волну энергии Увидел горящие глаза , румянец на щеках . Потому что они такого никогда не слышали и не чувствовали . Сам я был какое то время в состоянии абсолютного блаженства . Получилось . Получилось передать искру Божию от Rory . Приезжайте ,если это возможно . Или когда будет возможно . Обязательно . Будет праздник !!!
