Assuming that real life protocols work in Stingray, that craft would have been inspected at Marineville and then taken to some other facility for a complete disassembly, deeply examined and then reassembled for testing by test pilots to fully examine and compare it to top of the line craft such as the Stingray craft. With only one craft captured intact - assuming they didn't send teams out to recover wreckage from destroyed Fish - they would not want to risk a valuable military asset

How does the replacement sofa seen in the Thunderbird 3 launch sequence actually fit in the slot in the floor in the Tracy lounge - the sofa Alan is taken down on heads straight downwards, with the replacement clearly seen BEHIND him. Therefore, surely the replacement should just hit the underside of the floor, instead of neatly slotting into position.

In "Operation Time" and "Flight 104" we learn new stuff about the Mysteron agents like being shielded for X-Rays, sensitive for electricity and becoming silhuettes on photos. How come that such stuff were unknown while Dr Fawn (like the very FIRST doctor to examine an Mysteron agent!!!) was looking after Scarlet between "Mysterons" and "Winged Assassin"? Pretty sure the medical ward of Cloudbase has an x-ray machine and Dr Fawn probably has to make photos for his reports.

Not exactly an 'unanswered question', but it's always bugged me that there was never a resolution to the Hood storyline in the original Thunderbirds - Tintin never found out her uncle was the Hood, and it would have caused a very personal storyline involving Kyrano and Jeff's friendship - it would have been amazing to see a showdown with the Hood and the Tracy brothers after this revelation.

It might have been in another video, but I recently remembered someone saying that 'Operation Sword' is referred to extensively in Shadow of Fear and then completely dropped afterwards - I did have a bit of a theory as to what it could actually be, based on a couple of other episodes that (don''t by name but) could allude to it: > Flight 104 The episode centres around a conference intended to devise a way to deal with the Mysterons - Operation Sword could have been the result of that. > Shadow of Fear Obtaining close-up images of Mars is described as the 'first step' in the plan - could have been intended to determine landing sites/locate the Mysteron complex. > Noose of Ice It's mentioned that a full space fleet is being constructed for a return to Mars - this could be the overall aim of the operation.

I don't think the existence of SPECTRUM was a secret, which makes it almost unique among the organisations in Gerry Anderson's shows. I don't remember Colonel White, Captain Scarlet, or anyone else talking about the need for secrecy in the way that the members of International Rescue did.

They are V/STOL vehicles. The Harrier could take off and land vertically but used a runway on land and a ramp on a carrier. It allows a much faster take-off when time is of the essence.

I think the original idea was that the interceptors detonate huge explosions in the path of fast moving ufos and however many there are they run into it and detonate. This is contradicted later on when interceptors are shown shooting down individual targets like they are dogfighting spitfires.

@@ACtheLegend Oh another thing AC! I can answer the question at 3:02 about cs&tm episode “renegade rocket”. The control panel was also voice automated but they typed the words instead of reading them out in the case that it mishears the answer (for example “burn” could be mistaken as “barn” especially if a heavy accent is at play) therefore they typed the answers in. Hope thats satisfactory! EDIT: oh and it wasn’t the computer underwater that heard colonel white. It was the computer inside base Concorde. The computer unit underwater only lit up because it was still connected to the rocket and despite the answer not being inputted through that computer it still recognised that the rocket’s destruct code was entered causing it to light up. Were you not around during the Great Sugar Panic? Many cereals suddenly changed their names (without changing anything else) after sugar was declared Evil. Sugar Frosted Flakes became Frosted Flakes, Sugar Pops became Corn Pops, Sugar Crisp became Golden Crisp, etc. Every cereal maker scrambled to purge the word "sugar" from their packaging and marketing, but actually removing the sugar from their products was a step too far. :)

It might be safer to never leave my personal bunker, but who wants to live like that? As it is, Marineville seems to spend relatively little time underground compared to its ground level time. Probably worth the effort. We don't always know how much time passes between attacks/episodes.

The Cure.. that rig may be moving so as to alter blood pressure in different parts of the brain. I had a stroke and was in #intensive Care. I was sedated and according to my brother they didn't dp much beside medicate me and move my position in the bed from time to time. partly they do this to stop bed sores but also, 'i think, they adjust blood pressure in he different parts of the brain to limit the bleeding. Just a guess!

In Pit of Peril why does the sidewinder have a gauge that can measure 300 ft below ground level, when it's purpose is to remove trees.... at ground level. In Space 1999, exactly how many eagles were there on the moon when it left earth? Do they keep having to retrieve the crashed ones and rebuild them? Why does Marineville have to head underground to avoid attacks when "Battle stations" is announced? You would think that the vast majority of attacks on an Aquanaut organisation would be from under the sea, not from the air. Therefore, heading further underground, even closer to where any missiles might be coming from would slightly defeat the purpose.

In Space 1999 episode 1 Breakaway it's mentioned several times that the nuclear waste sites (that eventually explode) are on the far side of the moon (i.e. the side hidden from earth view). So when the nuclear waste sites explode, why does it push the moon out of orbit away from the earth? Surely it should push the moon towards the earth causing the earth and moon to collide? OK that would have made Space 1999 a very short series, but it would have been more accurate!

Avonvalley1 do you mean the palm trees? If so this was explained in a Thunderbirds annual in the 1960’s. Brains thought that having a paved area wide enough to accommodate TB2’s wing span would look too obvious and so to camouflage it the trees were planted closer to the runway and made to hinge outwards.
