Cheers Shirley, it has been a couple of months as I haven't really been travelling any distance or into the mountains for my walking. It was great to spend the day here and hopefully as restrictions ease I will be out more. It was a beautifully calm day even though the wind was raging 😊

Nice hike through the glen. A bit windy and cool for my taste. If the temperature drops below 50 Fahrenheit I'm uncomfortable.

It was a great hike and is definitely a wee bit cooler than Florida, and it looks like Florida is just about escaping all the cold in the US at the minute❄️❄️

@@gerrymcveigh Yes. We are the one place that isn't frozen solid apparently. Florida is about the same latitude as Morocco so it will never get too cold here.

That looks very nippy Gerry. I love the shots of the ice formations over the rocks and dangling from the branches and what about the waterfall! Wow! A lot of angry looking water in that reservoir! I think that was a wise decision to stick to the shelter of the forest Gerry!

Tom, it would have blown my head off up on the mountain, it was cool in the forest with the wind blowing over the tree tops. I love ice and water and it was really cool at the reservoir with the easterly wind blowing perfectly along its length to force the water over the top of the dam. As we know it is cool to be out in all the weathers we have here ❄️☀️💨🌧😊

Very well shot video. Must get up there for a good long walk some day. What are you using for map and GPS tracking to make the image at the end of the video? Looks very good and I'd like to try it out

Cheers Stephen, it is a great spot, very accessible and very quiet. I use the view ranger app on my phone which is free, though the Ireland OS map tiles have to be bought. I find it great for recording gpx tracks, for planning routes and for helping with navigation whilst walking.
