@milofromscorpio8997 жыл бұрын
Today, it suddently took me : "I wanna hear a Gerudo's valley cover". And then I remembered you... I thought "hmmm I heard only one guy playing it without changing a note like I love (which other musicians quite always don't and that I hate)". But it was years ago. Then I thought "I must have put a thumb up for his cover", so he still might be in my list... But how to find ONE thumb up in particular in your list when you have more than 2507 ones? Watching them all? Yeah... But... No. ^^ But I had something in my mind about your vid that caught my eye when I watched it the first time, you were playing a green electric guitar. So I checked all my list and I found you just by looking the pictures (even without looking at the titles). I was looking for something green... And... FOUND IT ! You are number 1578. xD It took me a approximatly twenty minutes but, What I can say is... It really was worth it because it's the best cover of that song I've ever heard. :)

I think, because of a harsh comment saying that jam2995 was ugly as hell(posted by Truth Grant), he never fully showed himself fully in this video. Man got to hate stupid insulting people. The video that he posted this comment on was the Hyrule Castle a link to the past guitar cover. I am only pointing this out, because if I were jam2995, I would totally feel insulted to be called ugly. Whoever agrees with me, please thumbs up.

Terrific arrangement and interpretation jam2995!!! Thanks for sharing. Could you please tell me how did you do the whole recording? what equipment did you use and how did you synchronize the video with the audio? Thanks again!!
@jam29958 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! All the equipment I used is listed in the description. I recorded in GarageBand (now I use Logic) and I filmed with a camera then uploaded the footage into iMovie and had to manually synchronize the video of me playing to the audio of the song. It takes a while, but after doing it a bit you get pretty good at it. :)
@grehzz8 жыл бұрын
So grateful for your kind and prompt response, jam2995. Just if it's not too bothering, could you clarify these additional questions for me?: 1. So the sound in this video comes from recording the instruments in garageband, not from the video camera itself, right? 2. I assume, then, that you don't filmed the whole song with each instrument, but only segments of it in order to illustrate with footage the audiotrack you already had in iMovie, right? 3. In which order did you record each instrument? do you record a backing track first and then add the rest one by one, or how do you do it? Ok, that's it. No problem if you are not able to answer these questions. I still love your video and your playing. Thanks again!!
@jam29958 жыл бұрын
1. Exactly! The mp3 is just overlayed the video and then I mute the audio coming from the camera. 2. Yeah more or less. I pretty much film the entire video on each instrument. I don't plan out ahead what shots I want for which melody or riff. I figure that out in the editing process. I make sure every instrument, melody line, and harmony gets filmed, so I can figure out how I want to portray that when I'm editing the video. 3. I create the drum track first, all programmed on the computer. I basically create my arrangement around my drum track. Then comes rhythm guitar, then bass, then melody, then harmonies, and whatever else I decide to add. I record everything myself, one track at a time. Lemme know if you have any more questions!
@grehzz8 жыл бұрын
Thanks sooooo much for answeing my questions again!! Just because you offer it, could you give me some detail on how did you create the drum track? (software, sound/instruments used, tempo, time signature, how many bars or measures, etc.).

Some of my older videos do that, the mp3s are fine. iMovie works like crap when you run other programs while exporting, and the result is fluctuations in volume. All my more recent videos do not do that, I make sure of it. xD

@MikeMandrill12 жыл бұрын
Each chord have a root note. What you'll hear playing a chord is mostly the root note as the other notes are here to harmonize it. The way you choose the notes that harmonize the root will determine if the chord is major, minor etc.. But in that case it doesn't really matters as in this song (and in most of "rock" songs) the chords used are power-chords who are always played the same way on the neck. So if you figure out the root note, you'll play the chord easily.
