Koji Kondo really went around the globe and throughout time for this soundtrack. The horse-race is a blue-grass tune. The shop theme is a rumba. Gerudo Valley is a spanish flamenco. Kakariko Village is a western frontier lullaby. Temple of Time is a Gregorian chant. Zora's domain is tranquil Caribbean. Windmill song is Eastern-European folk. Spirit Temple has strong Arabian vibes. Forest Temple is pure modern synth ambience. Not surprising coming from the man who went full rag-time for many Super Mario tracks.

Duey whoever complains about cultural appropriation is an actual brainlet and you should leave them alone. Cultural appropriation more like cultural appreciation.
@NellenelleForSure4 жыл бұрын
@@DueySR No. Stop being a dumbass. Cultural appropriation is NOT the same thing as *sharing* a culture. Cultural appropriation is when one race or nation CRITICIZES AND DEMEANS the cultural activities or aesthetics of another group , then *praises it on their selves or others* . That's straight up stealing and disrespectful. [[EDITED: To correct typos.]] Ex #1: K-POP mimicks Black-American R&B and they perform covering songs from artists like Usher and Chris Brown yet Black ppl are rejected from that industry and constantly disrespected there. Even Koreans that are half black are looked down on and their talents are used but not given credit. They repeatedly criticize the genre and *original* singers then turn around and make their ppl Megastars off the same thing. Ex#2: Miley Cyrus, a white girl, saying hip-hop is trash and garbage. But then turns around and uses hiphop artists and rappers to release a hiphop album to make MONEY , then disappear. So it's bad when the original ppl do it but great when you do?👀...She name dropped Jay-Z in Party in the USA then said "I would never listen to his music" 🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️🙅🏾♀️. That is not appreciating, that is *using* . VS *Sharing:* Gwen Stefani, another white girl, making hip-hop tracks with Eve and others since the 2000s. And making Jamaican Dancehall tracks with Lady Saw & Busy Signal because of her genuine love and interest in all cultures. She never once talked shxt about them or supported discrimination against them. Nor did she ever try to take credit for their culture and influence. There is a *huge difference* . Ppl deny minorites jobs for having dreads or other Cultural identifiers but then hire other ppl (whites) with dreads for the same position knowing the dreads are apart of the minorites' culture and religion. Same for trying to force Hindi kids to remove henna from their hands while at school, then praising it on white chicks at music festivals. That is cultural appropriation and racism and that shxt is wrong and fucked up. Plz Learn the difference. So you don't support the wrong thing.

This track: - belongs to a 1998 game, 7 years before the creation of KZbin, and 13 before being uploaded. - had reached more than 8 million views in GilvaSunner's channel, making it the most listened track in the game. - had been copystriked down, along with a few other themes of the game. - got uploaded again in this channel in 2019, literally 21 years after the game's release. - somehow managed to be listened to 3M+ times more. - continues reuniting people to tell their childhood stories, every single day. All of this proves that it's not exaggerated to say Gerudo Valley is one of the most emblematic songs in the entire videogame history.

@@tortugi1143 No it isn't remotely anything like that, that is just you being stupid and entitled enough to think you deserve it for free for no reason. KZbin videos are taken down for copyright reasons all the time. They are fortunate enough that due to specifics of the law, the site itself is likely not going to be shut down as long as they take things down when the owner requests it. As much as I like KZbin, I know that much of it, including just about everything I watch could be easily taken down any time and you should come to terms with that.

Dany-Alexander Stoyanov riiight, because when a COMPANY charges MONEY which they absolutely DESERVE, it’s saying fuck you. You have to realize that even though Nintendo loves their games and community, they are running a business. They worked very hard on all the music and just because they do not want it being handed out free it’s a fuck you? You need to get your head out of your ass and realize that you in no way are entitled to receive everything for free.

You know what I'm going to miss? The many beautiful, informative and funny comments from Gilva's videos at large. They really allowed us to appreciate these songs and the games they came from in new, developed ways. It did wonders on bringing so many of us together as this massive, global community remembering and sharing together our collective memories on these games. This disappointment seen so widely here in comments directed towards at Nintendo, only illustrates why these takedowns only end up harming the bond between the company and its fanbase. With these fond memories and connections becoming lost to fans as we're dealing with Nintendo's scrooge-like practices of extreme copyright control that end up destroying these gathering places of appreciation to their works even today... it's tearing me deep.

Was breaking this down and figured I’d share my notes in case anybody’s interested. 0:00 short, unrelated introduction figure + lone percussion (roughly 3-ish bars). It does establish the tone and percussive elements. 0:06 actual start. (4 bars.) This section repeats non-stop for the rest of time. (Albeit slightly quieter.) High-pitched percussive elements that repeat each bar, repeated note strummed constantly in a 4-bar pattern, and a lower-pitched harmonic foundation (pedal tones?) in a 4-bar pattern. (The above 2 timestamps are only used once in this exact form. Therefore, they don’t really constitute most of the structure of the song.) 0:14 Primary Motif (4 bars, repeated once with greater intensity. 8 bars total.) Roughly follows the lower-pitched harmonic foundation. 0:30 Primary Motif’s offshoot (4 bars, follows the PreVaReDe melodic structure. These 4 bars are then treated as one motif and again subjected to the PreVaReDe* structure in megature, resulting in a call-and-response structure. The last 4 bars are basically their own thing to round it out, as per the PreVaReDe. 16 bars long in total. 1:00 Secondary Motif (4 bars, slower than the Primary Motif. Also repeats once with greater intensity.) 1:18 Secondary Motif’s offshoot/transition to loop (4 bars long. Very simple rhythmically-driven melody ostinato thing that sort of acts as a countermelody to the lower-pitched harmonic foundation. This replaces 0:06 in the loop, transitioning to 0:14 forever this point on then on.) 1:26 looping back to 0:14. The rest of the video is just looping back to the point established at 0:14 until 1:18’s part comes again, ad infinitum. All in all, ignoring the introduction and looping, the song is roughly one minute and 10 seconds long, or 70 seconds. The primary motif starts about 1/10 of the way through. The first offshoot at about 1/3. The secondary motif at about 2/3. The second offshoot at about 9/10, to complement the primary motif. *Presentation, Variation, Repetition, Destruction. Credit to Evenant for this formula, or at least that’s the first place I learned about it.

This song and all the songs of Ocarina of Time fill me with bliss these days whenever I hear them. On my behalf, please do something on your part for Ocarina of Time's 25th anniversary and if you do so, remember that you are paying a tribute, however small, to the highest-ranking video game of all time, saluting the many hours of work put into it by every member of its development team, respecting the very high cost behind it given by Nintendo to make people happier in the richest and most fulfilling manner possible at that time and commemorating the childhoods of 7.06 million people.

This music has a lot of meaning for me, since i played zelda oot when i was 13 years old, like all musics that remember spain (no i'm not spanish), but this one is different for a few motives: I was a navy soldier, specifically at the Brazilian Navy, i had various problems with my family, so i decided to start my life by serving my country, and i moved to a city 100km away from my family, i must say, it was an experience different from everything that i had endured during my entire life, the soldiers were treated like trash, and the officers were monsters. I had nothing there, my old pc was far, my family was distant, i was almost giving up... Then, i reminded something, every time i was sad, every time when i thought no one could save me, one music calmed me, and helped me rethink my problems, it was Gerudo Valley, my favorite OST from the entire Zelda Series. I came back from the navy, but every time i hear this song, i remember, walking on that small city of São Pedro, the wind from the lagoon, the sun and the sand, the hospitality of the people and the few friends that i made there. I miss that city, but this music will always remember the good things that happened there.
