For those who don't know: Gerudo Valley was HEAVILY inspired by Flamenco despite the Gerudo architecture being inspired by The Desert Peoples of Northern Africa, including Egypt. This is because Flamenco originated and evolved from these places when The Desert Peoples once settled what is now known as Spain before being pushed out.

The Islamic caliphate conquered all of North Africa and much of Spain after the collapse of the Eastern Roman Empire. The Moors occupied Spain from 711 to 1492, over 700 years - this was part of the reason for the crusades in the middle ages, the European Christians were trying to reconquer lands and cities that previously belonged to North African and Middle Eastern Christians. Constantinople, Alexandria, Jerusalem were all Christian capital cities conquered by the caliphate.

Now i understand why gypsy kings just clicked seamlessly. It's such a smooth transition from oot childhood memories. Pharaon is basically in the same key as this isnt it? I even thought i heard u brought some rifs over to this. Very well played! Awesome!

Flamenco themes in videogames and animes are good. Flamenco themes Power-Flamenco-ed once again by a virtuoso? The best...

The yellow one is better playing the guitar, but the red one is better clapping hands. rsrs.. Saudações do Brasil!! Saúde e Paz pra você e sua família!! Sucesso!!

I've seen many many covers of this song on yt and this is by far the best out of all these covers. Exactly what I searched for.

I had goosebumps on my arms at only 30 seconds in...watching him do the double and triple picking of the notes (WITHOUT a pick mind you) while simultaneously matching the tempo and pace of the song and not missing a beat was mind-blowing...and weaving in extra notes and putting his own spin on it while still remaining faithful to the original composition...simply amazing!!! And I'm only 2 minutes in XD

Hey! This is a flamenco technique called "picado". If you play guitar and want to listen to the masters I recommend Paco de Lucia and Vicente amigo. Well played anyways!

@@ignaciorodriguez5987 I've tried playing a guitar, but the intricacies of finger placement on certain chords and trying to keep track of which strings to hit and when eludes me. I do much better on a bass lol. Ty for the tip however

By far the best version of gerudo valley I've ever heard. I hope you find more fun songs like this to cover!
Wow man. I got chills when I heard the original version on Ocarina when I was 7, but I’ve never gotten chills from a cover of it until now. That was wild, man. Amazing.

Great example how a relatively simple 4 chord song created for a video game can be incredible beautiful if you have a creative composer and a talented musician.

This isn't a cover... This is an overshadow... This is PEAK Gerudo Valley. I can't even imagine how Kondo could out-Gerudo-Valley this version of Gerudo Valley.
