Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis vs Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue - Future Showdown? / 井上尚弥 vs ガーボンタ・デイビス - 今後の対決?

As one of the biggest stars in the sport, a host of names are linked to a fight with Gervonta Davis, but one from left field appears to have tickled the Baltimore puncher’s fantasy.
The likes of Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson and Regis Prograis have all been linked to a dust up with ‘Tank,’ whose profile is at an all time high following his win over Ryan Garcia back in April.
However, in a recent piece, Davis named fellow knockout artist and Japanese pound for pound star Naoya Inoue as a “dream fight,” but one in which his size would prove too much for the three weight world champion to overcome.
Gervonta Davis asked if he could ever fight Naoya Inoue at a catchweight: “Probably. That would be a fun fight. That would be technical. But I'd be too big for him.”

I'm a huge Inoue fan and I think he's a monster but Davis would destroy Inoue at 130. Ohashi is blowing smoke or maybe even inhaling smoke😂. The way he dominated Garcia was a thing of beauty

@@leeboy7139 @leeboy7139 I won't go as far as destroy Inoue, but I would say Tank has that equaliser and has a good delivery with it. So that gives him the fight, but Inoue has knocked out 21 of his 23 opponents, but 3, and the 3rd 1, he came back to knock out to make it 21 knock-outs. Tank has knocked out 27 of his 29 opponents. So it won't be easy for Tank if he does knock-out Inoue.

Your calculation applies only to a 6-pound scenario up and down. Therefore before a fight agreement is signed, I'm sure both camps would target the second option 7-pound goal instead.

I don’t think we’ll see Tank vs Inoue unfortunately. Inoue would have to move up as soon as he becomes undisputed at 122, go up to 126, win a belt or two there, maybe even become undisputed there too if the belts/fights are able to be made, then move up to 130 after that (all this within a 2-3 yr period) win a belt or two there as well, same routine, make his claim in that division, and THEN see if he can possibly move up one last time to Lightweight to face Tank; however, realistically, Tank would’ve probably moved up to 140 by then. Maybe even 147, who knows?

Love Inoue and he can definitely keep getting titles at different divisions but Tank is already barely making 135, the weight difference would be too much on fight night. Inoue has the boxing skills to beat Tank, but the power difference would be too much. Inoue got hit by a good hand by Fulton and his head got moved quite a lot, Tank has way more power

Even though my favorite boxer is Inoue...if he were to face Tank my 3rd favorite boxer...it will go the full 12 heart throbbing rounds...at 126 lbs Tank would either win the decision by a close margin or it would be a draw....For Inoue is still one of Tanks favorite boxers

I think because Davis is a southpaw and Inoue isn't and they both have a lot of power, it would be a boring fight right up until the time it isn't.
