The stroller is nice but IMO the bassinet isn’t useful unless you’re using it for walks. As an every day use and having to take the baby out of the car seat every time you get out of the car to put it in the bassinet stroller & having to put it back into the car seat when leaving is unneeded extra work when you can get car seats that unhook from their base and click into the stroller. Much easier and faster, plus no waking up newborn sleeping babies to transfer them from one to the other. This stroller you got the car seat does not attach unless you buy an adapter. So you might want to go back to Amazon and buy those pieces because you will need them way more than that bassinet.

I have the Uppababy and the car seat does not need adapters since it is Uppababy as well. I personally use the bassinet a lot for longer outings. If I’m just running into the store real quick then I keep baby in car seat but if I’m going somewhere for a longer period of time I love having the bassinet.

Exactly it is dangerous to have a UTI during pregnancy. And the frequent urinating can also be a sign of hyperglycemia.

With a UTI you will have pain...BAD pain...it's totally normal to pee a lot as the baby gets bigger.

@@noraday4224 not everyone will have pain with a uti. I know my mom has frequent utis and never has pain until the infection reaches her kidneys. I've never had a uti, but I have been though to 2 pregnancies and didn't feel the urgency that she's explaining until I was towards the end. Alex, they could check your urine when you go to the doctor anyway but it wouldn't hurt to ask just incase they don't check for utis with your sample with every visit.

Probably not a UTI as I am 29 weeks and pee all the time (same with last pregnancy), but worth a try if you think there is a possible concern. Wonder if the drs office automatically checks for that or not each visit when they make pregnant women leave a sample at appointments.

This may just be because i have catastrophic thinking, lol, but I wouldn't hang anything heavy or hard above babys crib. It may be well secured, but JUST in case it falls off, you dont want it landing on baby. But your concept came out so adorable!

Just be careful with anything above baby boy’s crib. The wall should really be bare God forbid so nothing falls on him. If you’re going to still go ahead and want to hang something, make sure it is extra extra secure 🫶🏻

I have some photos hung and above the rocking chair too and I made sure they were super secure obvi lol.. but I also made sure I pulled the crib and chair away from the wall enough to where if the frame fell it would hopefully fall behind the furniture and not onto it

That stroller looks so sleek but I'm wondering if there is an attachment for parents storage? I need somewhere to put my phone/keys/coffee ect. Also, what about a snack tray for baby? Not so much of a concern when they are little, but as they get bigger you need somewhere to put their drink and snacks. Are those attachments sold separately? Or just not an option?

The stroller has two pockets in the bottom basket where I usually put my things. I even store my drinks in the pocket and it holds them well but is kind of annoying to have to reach down to get it anytime I want it! I have a drink holder pouch attachment thing I put on handles sometimes but prefer it without it so I just use the bottom basket pockets usually:)

I had gastric bypass surgery as well and they made me do the glucose test which I definitely failed. I had to do the one hour and then the 3 hours test as well. I almost passed out during both because is an extremely dangerous amount of sugar for somebody who doesn’t no consume it as much as before. After all that I had to check my sugar every day four times at day and once my daughter was born, they also had to check her during the first 24 hours of her life.

When you do your finger prick, try doing it on the side of your finger pad instead of the middle. For me, it hurts less. I think maybe fewer nerve endings in that area.

I’m glad you said you’ll make sure to install the car seat correctly! It’s so important that you and Yar know how to install it and buckle the baby confidently and without guessing. There’s so much to it but fb groups like car seat safety or car seats for littles are great resources with CPSTs to do a fit check. Of course you need to study the car seat manual and your car’s manual as well. Please don’t rely on installing it at the fire station! Usually they don’t have a CPST and they install it incorrectly. It’s the worst situation because then it’s installed wrong, you don’t know about it and neither of you know how to fix it, when and how to adjust it as the baby grows etc.

They will also inspect it if it is already in. Check the warranty and give some goodies and free info about what is safe to have in the car while baby is riding. Highly worth it

the actual car seat should click in to the stroller base as well - makes it easy for shopping trips and stuff so you don’t always have to set up the bassinet or wake a sleeping baby by taking them out of the car seat. just grab the car seat from out of the car and click it into the stroller base :)

Actually no it doesn’t. You have to buy an adapter that enables the car seat to attach to the stroller. You can look at her link and at the bottom it shows that when most buy this set up they add in the adapter, another $35 or you can’t hook the car seat to the stroller at all. As it is now she can not use the car seat on the stroller.

ALEX!! I have an 18 month old and we have the Vista V2 and did the Mesa baby car seat as well. Their customer support is TOP NOTCH. I felt like my newborn didn’t look secure enough in the car seat because he was chin-to-chest which is dangerous for babies. I contacted UppaBaby and they even offered to FaceTime me to help me adjust the fit! Highly recommend. Also revently I had an issue clicking the toddler seat into the stroller and I did the online chat with UppaBaby and they told me how to fix it so simply. LOVE

Our vista has been on 4 flights so far including a trip to Disneyland where there was a terrible rainstorm (like torrential downpour) and the rain cover worked like a charm and it dried nicely. Honestly have no negatives because it being so pricey and also it’s very large so it takes up my whole trunk 😂

Definitely bring them back to Walgreens, I work there. There’s a part of the kit they’re suppose to use to make sure the images are centered, unfortunately you won’t be able to do it yourself. They should have the tools to easily disassemble it and do it correctly. Those black back pieces should just snap into place too they probably didn’t push them in enough

Girly- get the adult diapers. I wear them during my time of the month so I can sleep without a dripping up my back. Also- we stare at our neighbors lawn too, and wonder how some of them have such good green grass. My husband and the neighbor across the street are obsessed with peoples lawns. Didn't they recommend using a Continous Glucose Monitor / CGM for a week or two? They got much more affordable and you get more insight into the actual blood glucose curves after eating meals. I use the Freestyle Libre 3, very convenient, should try it.

I had the same travel system when my now 5 yr old was born. People would stop me in the street to ask me for reviews on it. It’s the Bentley of strollers for sure. When baby was a couple of months old i got a car seat cover and would transfer baby straight from the car to stroller when running errands and baby was asleep. The car seat cover gave baby ventilation while keeping him covered from curious strangers.

For the bathroom stuff stay in the room and side of the bed closets to the bathroom that’s what I do. I have a night light in the bathroom too or you can get a toilet light. I am also sick and pregnant too. You will need the thickest pads for after having a baby so good to get early if you want.

My sister bought a uppababy, and since my nephew was the first born out of the three siblings and we knew we would all want to carry him around, we just bought two more car bases so that we could use the same car seat since it comes off to carry him without removing the base around to each car. Because you know… Latin family things lol she loved it, a long with the stroller and all that went with it. So did we when we would take him over night to give them at least one night or two during the week to have a full night sleep…after a some months of course since it was her first lol.

Alex, u may want to take back some of the clothing items u were buying for your baby boy yourself before the baby shower because if u got hand me downs and u get a lot of clothing items from ur baby shower. You may find u have to many clothes of 1 size. Baby's grow so fast u may think u need a lot of oneies of new born size when you'll probably need more 3 to 6 months instead. Parents in the 80s like myself really was very happy to get hand me downs. I also didn't use disposable diapers because we couldn't afford them I was given like 3 dozen cloth diapers for my son around baby shower time. And I didn't have a diaper service at the time either.

The rain cover for the stroller is so smart to have! I have the Joovy Kooper double stroller and love it for my 3 and 1 year old but we went to disney the other day and had to hide out during the rain so everything didn’t get wet 😂 we are trying to order the rain cover now but it’s out of stock!

Is Yar getting a say in how the nursery is being decorated or is it all up to you? You can have the carseat professionally installled in your car so you know that it is installed properly. So, with that stroller being transitional for up to 3 kids does that mean you will be having your children close together in age so they will all be small enough to use it at the same time? Funny story. You mentioning that the first finger stick made you woozy reminded me of my phlebotomy training years ago. As part of my final testing I was required to draw blood on my instructor. No problem, I'd practiced a dozen times. HOWEVER, that particular day the clinic CEO was in office and he volunteered. No pressure, right😂 Everything was going well then I went to insert the needle and passed clean out🤦🏼‍♀️ Thank goodness he was a good sport and had a great sense of humor. I ended up passing and went on to do hundreds of draws without incident. That memory just makes me giggle 🤭

This video the stroller reminds me when I was having my second how exciting it was to pick out a new double stroller. The peeing thing is very normal to pee a lot more than normal depending where baby is sitting and there is no harm in wearing a pee pad. I like how much thought you put into things, I just encourage you to know that when baby comes you will have less time to think about everything and you sometimes will just have to try your best and that will be good enough and there is no shame in saying I NEED HELP and I can't do it alone. I know you aren't alone and you both will have a ton of support it will be amazing :) even the tough times will be amazing.
