So like on monday i had a lesson with my orchestra teacher and at the end I asked him about where to get some good music books or something and he said hes gonna look for a solo for me so im like alrighty. Fast forward to like 2 days ago, my teacher gave me a solo to practice which happens to be sonata III by handel. I tale my violin home to practice and got it somewhat down, it still needed better intonation and i needed to work on smoothing out my shifting. But i tell him the next day that i kinda got it and he replies with something like, "April 17th i want you to hop on a bus and go to Bemidji and play in the solo emsemble." And i was like wait seriously? But he was dead serious.🙂 and i agreed, but im absolutely terrified becuase i get really bad stagefrieght and super shaky when people are listening to me play when im not comfortable around them. But yeah! Im also kinda pumped to play!

It's great that your teacher is encouraging you. Solo & Ensemble Festival is usually a very positive experience and you get good feedback. I recommend doing some practice performances before your actual performance!

are these listed in order of importance?

That is the order they are on the adjudicator's form. Each area receives a grade that is weighted equally in the final score.
