Get ANY SHINY Starter and EASY SHINIES in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl | Cute Charm Glitch Full Guide

While getting the starter, on your first attempt (if not shiny right away), ALWAYS check what you've hit in terms of SEED so you know if you're hitting even or odd delays. While I was getting TID/SID the delay was EVEN but in the starter manip it was ODD. Use "Generator" tab for this and check adjacent SEEDs like I did in the spreadsheet. You can also check the SEEDs on "Seed to Time" by hitting generate below and selecting desired seed above.

This guide was the most clear out of any guide I've seen for getting the right target IDs, I appreciate it. That being said, when it comes to detecting if the starter is shiny, I have my sheet open and I've done all the formulas, but when plugging in each seed, none show the specifics of the starter I'm shooting for EXCEPT the initial seed I started with. Does that mean that my seed is already good to keep resetting for or am I misunderstanding that part? Instructions have been clear and helpful for the IDs but once the explanation started on the starter rng and seeds I started to not understand what to do once all the values are on the sheet

the values above and below on the sheet just show the nearby delays that you mightve hit if you didnt get the shiny you can check which seed you hit by matching trait and characteristics of the starter in the failed run with the adjacent seeds using the generator usually you dont need to match the ivs since most of the time there arent repeating traits and characteristics from my tries but one issue ive come across was that if you switch years to swap odd/even to match your target delay's odd/even it doesnt work what worked for me was legit changing my target to odd/even depending on what i was already hitting so if i was only hitting odd in like 2020 then i checked every target seed in "seacher" with "seed to time" and looked for one that hit odd delay in 2020 and went with that after that then i started excel after a couple of failed hit i got it but then my ds died cuz i didnt charge it lol

i was watching your video and i got my trainer and secret id to match but didnt hit the shiny starter on the first try. i opened an excel spreadsheet like you did to find adjacent seeds but im not quite sure as to what you did to complete this process and i cant read the text in the video. would possibly to type exactly what you did in excel? i would really appreciate it.

make sure the seed you picked is also shiny in the generator i found out after hitting my seed and then realizing that its not shiny in the generator while it was in the searcher same gender, trait, ivs, and characteristics but all that was different was that it wasnt shiny in the generator

Hey man I was able to get a really good IV rash shiny chimchar and cute charm trainer ID thanks to you and Blissy’s vids! I did have a questions though: after getting to the post with my rival for the save step, can I set my text speed to fast and then save, or will this cause a frame advance?

Hi thanks for the feedback :) You can safely set your text speed to fast yes. Once you restart and go for the shiny starter you just want to hit the correct SEED

I don't think you were able to explain how to calibrate the eon timer if you found the pokemon on a different seed. For me, my last two input in my seed was 7b which is what Im trying to hit but I was only able to hit 83 which is 4 frames away if we're basing this on by twos.

If I didn't miss the seed I would've got the shiny on the first attempt... I missed the seed a lot. You can see on my spreadsheet the adjacent seeds that I missed and I cover in the video the ways to hit the right ones, even if you're hitting odd/even delays. And when you say frames... There are 0 frame advances from the moment the seed is generated, I'm not sure what you mean by "4 frames away". Are you saying you encounter the starter Pokemon on the 4th frame advance from the moment the seed is generated?

I meant 4 seeds away, that was my bad. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to calibrate knowing the distance of the two seeds

It has to do with the delay. In this case, the seed matches the delay, same for even or odd. You can use seed to time like I did in the video in order to check if the seed you got matches an even or odd delay. If you got the type you wanted and missed by one or two delays you can just repeat until you get the shiny, otherwise calibrate it in EonTimer.

Hello, I have a question I had successfully rng few shiny pokemon in platinum, but suddenly for some unknown reason, when I hit the correct seed, the frames was no longer 1, and the confirmation of capture almost changed to around 90. Since then, I have been in a place where there are no npc or roming legends, do you know what is going on?

I don't get why do you have to check the starter's nature every time you don't get the shiny? It doesn't even match with the seed in your spreadsheet? For example: in the last part of your tutorial, you were aiming for the careful nature seed, how did you get the timid shiny using that seed?

I tried putting the year and min delay with 8 on the PID but then Pokefinder just crashes everytime. Is there a bug here?

As long as you get the right TID/SID you have the cute charm glitch, you don't need the starters, it's just an extra

You'd had me in the first half and I managed to get the same ID, and I can only assume the right SID for the Cute Charm glitch. But you completely lost me in the second half. I don't think I have a good grasp of the delays (the whole even/odd thing throws me off) and I was unable to get a shiny starter

@@tylerparent-byram6233 may be a little late but what i did was just change my target seed so if you put the seed of your target into "seed to time" and you get an even delay (ex: 1010) you do a test to check what seed you landed on and then take the seed of the failed run and put it into "seed to time" if the failed run delay is even (ex: 1008) then you can keep trying until you get it you can even put the new delay into "delay hit" in eon timer if you need to but if you hit odd i recommend just changing to a different target in "searcher" cuz changing years didnt work for me so in short if you are hitting odd delays look for a target seed in "searcher" that is already odd and even delay if you are already hitting even you can check they delays by just copy pasting the target seeds into seed to time and final point make sure the seed you picked is actually shiny lol turns out sometimes "generator" shows not shiny while "searcher" does

I got my cute charm id but PokeFinder for gen4 won’t let me input it. It’s pretty unique: 00200 and the secret id’s 00197. I create the profile but it won’t let me begin both ids with zero. What should I do? Edit: I did use RNG reporter to get my id originally, so would I need to reset the save entirely to go for a new one?

You can just "skip" the zeros in PokeFinder and insert 3 digits
