I'd like the cross bow, but I love the melee combat soooooo much and the parkour friendly survivors options. Plus, I love my Artifact Bow with fire arrows. The crossbow seems to make the game way to easy. I'm sticking with the Survivors all the way. Plus, I'd rather keep using molotovs, landmines and c4 is so fun.

I’ve been playing on ps5 since midnight release and I’m still in the first main map lol. I’m taking my time and enjoying everything. I’m addicted to this game! It’s so fun! The crossbow is literally the only reason im giving 4 towers to the peacekeepers. The survivor perks are ultimately the most useful in the game overall. I captured 4 towers for the PK. The rest is going to the survivors.

Also, when picking locks, pay attention to the vibration in controller. It's telling you which way the pick needs to turn and can be a life savor when trying to be fast.

when you pick a lock and you arent close to solving it, just back out and then enter again, the locks dont change and you'll basically have an infinite lock pick.

Something else about the GRE Detector is that it also indirectly shows you where all GRE Facilities and GRE Anomalies are, since they will show up as a group, so you can easily identify where they are. Couldn’t find the last Anomoly for a long time so I ended up doing the story and got the Detctor, instantly found that it was near the Observatory and was super happy I found it.

Another tip is that, if you are starting a new game, especially on Hard mode, is to go straight to the top of Trinity once you get the quest to meet the people at the Bazaar. There will be a huge fence with two GRE labs and a goal post. Jump the fence and kick the football into the goal and leave the area, the travel back and do it again. Do it 6 times and a common blade will spawn with double spark mods and a durability mod attached to it, all fully upgraded (durability says it’s fully upgraded but it’s 50% instead of 90%). That can serve as an excellent starting weapon as it will have a lot of durability, but you won’t be able to repair it since all mod slots are filled in.

I never had a problem with melee combat in this game because in the first game u do more melee combat than range combat so I'm more used to melee. I also stuck to the survivors because I heard u can bring back the Nightrunners so I'm more glad by doing that because they are a big thing in the Dying Light Franchise

PSA: there are only 7 territories you can claim. You can only fill out survivor or PK upgrades, not both. Dont make the same mistake i did. Currently have 2 upgrades per faction and now cant max upgrades on either. Wish the game would have told me.

I believe there are also sidequests which allow you to assign stuff to a faction, allowing you to unlock more than 7 abilities in total. Don't quote me on it though, I haven't done it myself yet

I'm saving the Peacekeeper for a harder playthrough. Do a normal Survivor playthroughs focusing on leveling up Stamina and parkour. Next playthrough I will do Peacekeeper on hard or if there is a harder difficulty unlocked. I'm pretty sure there is an achievement for completing one faction.

If I dont use any survivor gadgets, can or will I be better at parkour than a person that went the survivors route? If I dont need to use those gadgets because I learned how to get around without and think fast of where to jump, climb and glide. Surely I'd be doing better than someone who relies on those gadgets to get around. I'm going pk route the first time I play then survivor the second time. See if that does help me with parkour. I hate that such a powerful item is locked behind the faction system like all other faction unlocks are pretty neat little modifiers to the gameplay but the cross by literally trivializes the rest of the game with how powerful it is and it doesn't matter how early you get it since it scales with your player level so it is hands down the best weapon from the point you get it to after you clear the main story and the difficulty scales up to your player level.

Oddly though, the Crossbow lacks in some MAJOR ways... No crit head shots like the bow, damage drop off the further the enemies get from you, unlike the bow. Also, if you want to use the 3 headshot target, with the combat ability. Now, the crossbow does have up sides to it too. The crossbow levels up with you, unlike bows, the bolts might be easier to craft, and the attack speed is faster... So, go with what you'd like! Ive used the crossbow, and the bow.. I like getting huge damage with the bow, and that's nice it night time, when Im hunting for the different zombie trophies.. Idk, but this game is so dam fun!!

There's like 40 in the first part map. I got 20 or so and moved on. Wanted enough stamina to get around and climb things. Health isn't a big issue once you have military health bags. They are fast to inject and fill you up.

And there's also really another helpful weapon which is the bow you can easily get headshots and just one shot almost any enemy with it if you have really good gear to increase the damage of what it's already is yes you do have to upgrade it whenever you get higher levels but you can almost instantly take them out from a distance as well with a perfect headshot

better to do both, really. most peacekeeper bonuses are kinda meh. the survivor parkour stuff's powerful as fuck, but you don't need to max them out. there's 10 stations. give 4 to the peacekeepers (given you might not have as much use for the parkour stuff yet, might want combat assist this early) and give the rest to the survivors

Quick question for the community… playing on hard mode and I’m confused. I can not figure out how to sell lower level weapons (grey and green) to vendors. Some are accepted and others are not, curious how to works. Also, it’s EXTREMELY hard to get infected trophy’s. Uncommon, rare are really hard to come by as unique is marked at night. Ive had no issue selling any weapons so far. Make sure its the trader and not the craftsman. And infected trophys spawn on every single zombie randomly. Loot all of them. Profit.

I cleared a 300 stamina windmill with 160. Somehow tictac'ed on a small wall and managed to grab the ledge just before my stamina ran out.

DON'T GET THE PK'S ONLY FOR THE CROSSBOW. It's an op weapon that'll triviliaze 95% of the content in the game and the parkour upgrades for the survivors are far more relevant and you use them all the time. A bow from the store will pretty much do the job where you'd need this crossbow so don't do this.

Upgrade ur lockpicks more you will be able to spend 2 lockpicks and insta open locks

I don't know man but I hear constantly there's some inhibitor nearby but I can never find them I really want to upgrade my stamina and health that's what I don't like about this game your stamina and health is terrible and you have to use Inhibitors to make it better but you can't find any inhibitors

When you hear that a box is near by a little GRE key icon will come up in the bottom left hand of the screen and next to it will show you how many feet away you are from the box and the it will get smaller the closer you get to it or bigger if youre moving away

Yeah,it's crazy how OP maxed out throwing knifes are.Who need crossbows anyway when you can have like 300 throwing knive in your pocket constantly😂.
