Since my max distance is 200, I’m trying for bogey, and getting a par is like getting a birdie.

I'm new, so I feel this statement in my core. However, I had 3 birdies today and finally drove almost 300 twice. Just keep working. You'll get there. 😊

I throw 250 feet consistently and pushed a +8 on the FPO layout at maple hill last year just focusing on those consistent shots. Pushed WAY more bogies than I wanted but I knew my shots would get me to a par putt. Play your game around your arm speed!

Absolutely agree on 1 and 2. I’ve learned both the hard way. Bought discs that were way too fast for my arm speed and spent way too much time chasing distance. I wish I’d seen your video 2 years ago when I first started playing. I am improving on both counts now. Thanks for your great videos!

My favorite thing you went over was on in the bag last week. As an MA2/3 player, pick a handfull of holes you are gonna go for birdie then par the rest. Its great expectation management and if you fall into a few bonus birdies good.

Your tips have helped me so much in my game. I went from scoring a +14 average last year to scoring +2 average this year. I do have that distance envy, but instead of focusing on that, I practice putting the most out of every skill, and it’s helped me stomp on those “big distance” guys. Sure, I can’t throw past 350, but I can nail putts 30ft and in with full confidence

Loved ALL the tips and look forward to applying them to my game. I especially want to start putting every day to get consistent with putting consistently and increasing my effective putting distance. Lastly, i already do this some, but i plan to imcrease showcasing my approach shots, which are the strongest part of my game. Thanks for the tips. They make sense and should be easy to apply.

I bought Eliezra's disc to support her. You definitely have inspired me to practice putting. It is simple quick and efficient to practice. I putted 500 times today and over 6000 times in the last 40 or so days. I am not obsessed with being a distance thrower. I am obsessed with getting enough distance to give myself birdie chances. It is silly how pathetic my backhand is for the number of hours I have put into it. I am grinding so much now that I barely even play.

The Sail has become my favorite disc. Thought it would be more understable but turned out to be laser beam straight. It’s like a 9 (it has a 1.9 centimeter rim) speed crave or cicada. I’d say it’s real numbers are 9-6 -1 1. At least the ones I have. My 57 year arm can get it about 325 on a good day. Never thought it would become my go to driver but it quickly has.

Mid-range cheat code from DGA has to be the Squall. They are a straight flyer with the ability to hold any angle. The downside is that they're not the easiest to find in my area. Sadly, a lot of DGA is limited in my area. This is mainly due to DGA being pressed out at Discraft. When I worked there we did very few production runs of them, and when we did press them, it was a focus on Steadys and Rogues - if memory serves.

Right disc for your arm speed: Start with neutral/stable/straight discs(ex. 2 speed 2/5/0/0) that are in the same plastic;all are all new and all in the 165-170 range. Throw that 2 speed until it can be thrown flat and straight. If that 2 speed starts turning on you when thrown flat (turn is when the disc goes in the direction of the back of you hand and arm);then move up to a neutral/stable/straight 3 speed (Ex. 3/5/0/0). Keep going up in speed until the disc only flys overstable for you when thrown flat. Overstable is when a disc flys in the direction of the inside of your hand and arm) and fades when thrown flat. If your neutral (neutral is a disc that is designed to go straight; a neutral disc usually has a 0 stability rating) disc fades when thrown flat that means you have hit a speed of disc that is beyond your arm speed.

I throw a couple of discs that are above my paygrade (higher than my ~10 speed arm) but I do so because they fill a gap that works for my arm speed (eg a Catalyst) that I can equal my Innova Beast(s ...I have 3 different plastic Beasts) but get a different line in some winds or elevations). It's not the Disc's numbers... It's what you can do with it that matters. (said the Vicar...) (like handing a highspeed flippy to a noob that keeps Hyzering their only (madly over-stable) disc. for their 1st long distance throw). P.S I can get a max of 330ft (A rugby field length in NZ, 100m touch to touch line... (So probably 450ft Internet distance) 😀 and I can get that distance with my drivers and about 10ft less with my fairways... and according to google maps measurements.. 250ft with my Proxy (Shame I have so much trouble throwing it 10ft)

Right disc for you?: Stability of a disc will effect flight. Ex. I can throw a new 170 Yikun Yan 3/6/0/0 in Tiger plastic straight on a back hand. I can not throw a 170 Hammer Chui 2/2.5/0/3 straight on a back hand. This disc is made to be stable and fade and it does just that for me. Side note: Because the Tiger plastic is a basic plastic it will wear down and the Yan will start to turn and become less stable and the Hammer Chui will become less stable and fly straighter for me.

Tip 2: i skip my lunch and use 5 Lunas to put on a travel basket at work, then i have 30 min to putt, i started from 5m and when i hit 90% i move 1 meter back. currently at 7m and i need an average off 130 putts to sink 100 putts. 30 min lets me putt out 220-300 putts =D game changer for me

why you can throw the intended flight of a 12/13 speed on a forehand not on backhand, your spin to speed ratio is higher on the backhand making them more gyroscopicly stable. Forehands Speed to spin ratio is inverse, so you will get more turn out of them since they are spinning significantly slower than a backhand.

Forehands spin slower than backhands on average? Sounds backwards for most people
@orionbeach7648 ай бұрын
@@AnonymousOtters so far the folks that have tried tech disc have seen more spin on back hand. But think about it this way, why do most people prefer more stable discs on forehand? The added stability works better for the lower spin rate. Makes sense right?
@TAS-gb5ph8 ай бұрын
@@AnonymousOtters He’s correct. Forehands spin slower. I had it backwards for a long time myself. I think it’s because backhands just kinda snap out of your hand, so assuming your grip is good, they just spin as fast as they need to. When you throw forehand, you’re kinda spinning it yourself by flicking your wrist. That’s probably not the best explanation, and it might not be 100% accurate, but that’s how I think about it/visualize it.
