If they wanted British accents, they would have just hired British performers. Why force out accents which won't sound good? Plus, it identifies them as a different cast, and a different atmosphere. Each production of Six is different in small ways.

As a performance, I think they’re amazing. This Cleves is different!!! She’s hilarious and she still has that iconic sass. The stage is awful though, they seem restrained and I’m sure it would be better when they have more room! The lighting isn’t amazing either but all that matters is their performance

I think everyone just expects the british accents. Even when I try to sing it , my voice goes to an accent that the original cast did because its what I'm used too. Theres nothing wrong with it, it's just always weird hearing something when you are used to something else. They still did amazing and I hope we get an album so I can hear how all the songs sound with an American accent

Same! I always mimic the accent that the singer does because of instinct and it would probably sound off if I didn’t. I’m not judging, but people who say they don’t even notice the accents probably haven’t listened to the songs more than three times. There’s no way that if you’ve memorized the song, listen to it at least every week, and have it on your playlist, you wouldn’t notice the accent.

Same. For me this cast is just more balanced especially in vocals and execution. Like for the original one I have two queens that I like but with this cast I enjoy all of them more equally. it's fair but altos are extremely underrepresented and though i absolutely love britt i still think it's not fair to cast a soprano and move the backing track half a tone upwards expecially when altos get told "if it's outta your range, you ditch the song" i'd really like to see her as boleyn, there aren't many black boleyns (hazel is the only one i know of), and her range would make the final belt sound so GOOD

I've seen a lot of performances, but I am always blown away by Brittney Mack's energy and performance. She's stupidly good at owning that stage, even if it was tiny and interacting with the audience. I also got an idea of how scripted all the things they do are, and this is a bit different to her Broadway performance in that she tells the person she chooses to dance with her that it was cute and showed them how to do it. LOL in the original she just says "that's enough, this is my song".
