@@ElnaWrites strange thing about the "collective" site. It only allows visitors to "get in touch" after clicking the "sign up" link. I sent them an email about it 4 days ago and they haven't responded!

I think the more you put yourself out there, especially when starting out (hey, that's me!!), and more people know who you are, the better. Then when you become world famous and everybody wants you, then you can disengage from organizations like these, now that you know how to ride a bike by yourself. And if they're free to sign up, what can you lose? For me, I don't mind knocking people's doors. So, thanks Elna. I have four more doors to knock on. Hopefully we'll be able to help each other.

Hmm, I would work on guest posting and having author bios pointing back to your writer website or LinkedIn profile. This will show prospects you are more credible.

@@DenG611 well, I sent A LOT of outreach through LinkedIn. Then someone offer me trial project. They like it and they keep giving me assignment after that. All the communication is through email and shared folder in Google Drive. I get my feedback every week (and the senior editor 'kickig my but' to write better 🤣). Got paid on 15th every month through Paypal.
