This show was actually filmed in front of the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. Good to see this on You-Tube after all this time !

I was looking [ You-Tube] at The B-52's playing Planet Claire and thought it was in the USA until I realised it was actually Get Fresh, Plymouth, 1987. You should check it out.

Interesting to see how a British kids tv show played a clip of the original ‘Locomotion’ in that montage. Considering it was never released in the UK (until years later) and the Stock Aitken Waterman re-recording had become the definitive version by this stage. Most like an editorial blunder, where an unsuspecting editor had used the wrong source material.

Very good spot! But... going by Top of the Pops, The Locomotion was a 'new entry' in the 4th August 1988 edition. This Get Fresh clip is from 9th July 1988. Could it be that the new video hadn't been sent out by this point, so they were using what they had (i.e. the Aussie version)?

@@VideotapeFTW Yes, quite possibly. Particularly, as the UK version, was a re-edit of the Australian footage, minus the very jarring product placement, of course! ☺️

Yeah - I have loads of old VHS tapes I keep threatening to convert - I must get around to it as I have yet to see the clip of me when I appeared as a competition winner. It was the one where they visited the Ulster folk & transport museum.

I keep threatening to digitise my VHS collection as it includes my wedding video! My favourite past time is procrastination though.
